LynnS
We are doing a website.Made a deep purple candle and looks perfect. Also red that looks perfect.Pretty color and no frosting BUT it shows slight small white specks in the pic.Clueless. I don.t see why this is happening.Looking at the candle not one speck.Of course the yellow candle is fine.We have run into this problem with the others too and then we make fresh more and get the same thing but not lighter like yellow.I want pretty colors but may have to go with light.Any suggestions.Frustrated.LynnS
wvcandleguy
The only thing that I can think of is maybe you have dust reflecting off of your flash. Try taking the pic again with good background lighting and turning off your flash..... not sure if it will work, but its worth a shot. LynnS
Thank You!!!!!!Will try that.Tried to darken a little but no luck.So will try this.Did a close up and maybe need to back off if having this problem. This pic thing is so time consuming.First had a hard time trying to find the jars we use(gave up) so went to different jars from a candle supply place. They should keep well stocked. Have 5 styles now.Maybe if problem persists more candles to make BUT lighter colors. Can't put on the site "What you see is not what you get"..........Thanks again,LynnS
Crafty1_AJ
This would be a royal pain, I assume, but couldn't you "fix" the photo by going in and clicking on a small area of "good" color and pasting it up over the area of speckled photo? Smack me if I'm stoopid here ...
Candle Man
You can also try different lighting. Catalog & web photo's are best taken without the camera flash. Check these sites out for help.http://www.creativepro.com/story/feature/19002.htmlhttp://www.dennisonbertram.com/hackmaster/2005/02/macro-light-box.htmhttp://www.rhapsodydolls.com/doll_photography.htmhttp://www.pbase.com/wlhuber/light_box_light_tenthttp://www.theswitchboards.com/articles_professionalphotos.htmlThis info should be real helpful for great photos.Candle Man
LynnS
We tried doctoring it on the site but didn't work.Husband got home tonight and he said he thought maybe the lighting.Yesterday was kinda a dull day.So he did it with sunlight coming in and WA LA.Perfect.Funny it was this simple.Got the pics on the site and hope to finish it off in the next week or 2. Do have lotions and soaps to make with labels. These are new jars testing and love them.Only have burned them for 4 1/2 hours but look good. One has a slight hang up but think it will catch up.This is gonna be a long haul.I have my tarts, air fresheners, FP votives, bear, candles(6 sizes)but need the soap and lotion made.Thank You to all,LynnSSeems like lighting is the answer.Sure were perfect speckled candles. If someone didn't know better would have thought it was meant to be.I emailed my friend and they showed up the same way.She thought it might have been my computer and not show up on hers. She thought it was kinda perfect too. Not us candlemakers though. We know a problem when we see it.I was afraid we hit another barrier.

Kaybee23
Wow, all I can say is that is a lot of testing with so many FO's and so many jars. That must have been a pain testing all of that. Good luck on your site.
LynnS
Just starting but so far 3 of the 4 new jars are burning good but just a hang up with the 12 oz. Victorian.I am sure I will need to wick up on that one.It is just slightly wider at the top.It is taking longer for a melt pool. The one jar is like a 16 ounce mason but a country jar.It is fine but still testing.Wanting a total burn time now on each.Working on that.LynnS
