Pam W
Some nice canes to look at. Scroll down & check out the African Amber ones. Guess I'll have to try pouring a cane on the cool side;) I've used their AA FO and it's really nice but a little pricey - $6/ozhttp://rs6.net/tn.jsp?t=5tnlmtbab.0.lirlmtbab.u5y44pbab.10651&p=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.candleoutlet.com%2Fdisplay3.asp%3FPID%3DLum-Rain

BruceCarvesWax
Looks more like what we do with dip and carve than what a cane is. The flame is from a oil burner insert like what carvers use. I bet from the flame being so high up that there is only a small amount of wax taken out the top and then a hole drilled for the "tight fitting" glass insert. Dee
Saw ones like these at a kiosk in Scotsdale. Was told the idea was patented. The candles were very beautiful.
Scented
Those are ok to my tastes, but I like these better lolhttp://www.candleoutlet.com/display3.asp?PID=RDRainOW
BruceCarvesWax
WOW 10x48 candle $474.95. Wouldnt have to sell many of them to make your day! Bruce
Pam W
Bruce,Yep, they make & sell 'em in all sizes & prices. Ya'd have to use a forklift to get some of 'em home and of course, the plastic to pay for it?When I first started making candles, I was buying scrap wax from them; scented & colored for 50cents/lb. Made some great and cheap chunkies. Then they stopped selling it.
Mei-Mei
Those are very pretty. I wonder how the refreshing desert rain one is made? How would one get that effect in a candle?
Pam W
I've seen these and it looks like they do their initial pour and then tip the mold quickly to get that color to run up the sides of the mold before pouring the 2nd color -- kinda like doing drapped layers but it's very thin. Scented
Except those are a little uniform, or looked like it to me.
