trisha
O.K. I think I'm going crazy. I started making candles 8 months ago. My colors always turned out great. Very rich and dark. No matter what wax I used. Now all of the sudden I can't get any of my colors where I want them to be:confused: I am sure I heat the wax High enough to melt my color chips. Is this just bad luck? Also, I need a good combination or just plai color for Black Cherry( minie isn't working)And a suggestion for China Rain.Someone plese help. I am SO MAD I want to give UP!! I am SO MAD I want to give UP!!The color chips probably didn't change so think about what else did. There must be something. Did it start with the latest wax you tried or when you started putting in some additive? If the colors aren't as dark, it sounds like the wax is more opaque. Did you switch to a preblend? dayglow
On this site is a section for color suggestions. It says Teal is the suggested color for China Rain. Look in the techniques & ideas and scroll down to color suggestions. This is what I go by. Hope this helps.

Ms_Magnolia
I too started out with color chips/blocks. Ordered liquid dye and will never go back to the blocks. My colors a so vibrant now. Easy to mix.
