enchantedflorest
Just wondering how many people use normal household shears to cut wicks or buy an actual wick trimmer. Just wondering cause the shears dont seem to be cutting a very even wick.
eugenia
The wick trimmers are great for jars. For pillars and votives, I just pinch or use regular scissors.e
Smokin'Hot
Hello,I usually use regular scissors for votives and tealights and nail clippers for containers or my really thick wicks to get an even cut. HTH Lori:)
Tara
I use a wick trimmer or some nail clippers as well. I like the Cleancut wick trimmer the best.
enchantedflorest
Anybody else have the Clean cut wick trimmer. I just watched a little demo on it -- looks pretty cool. Any product info from other buyers?
Mona
I use normal household scissors, and get a clean cut. I haven't found a wick trimmer that cuts zinc core wicks. I use toenail clippers to trim newly made candles.
Trish
I use the cleancut trimmers on all my wicks. To trim before I sell them, or to trim my own when burning. I try to give them to customers (free with $50 purchase, etc) because they are so awesome!!!
sharyl55
I also use the cleancut wick trimmers to trim everything I sell and for my own use. No problems cutting a zinc wick. I've read here where some use doggie toe nail clippers.
enchantedflorest
Huh, well now I'm torn. 1st I thought yep just another one of those things to buy, people use scissors all the time. But now, that sounds like an awesome idea to precut them to a 1/4 before sale. I've always wondered why when you buy a candle the wick is like a 1/2 in... just for me to cut. good idea there
