ElizabethRose
Hi can anyone help me with advise for the best thing to stick wicks to glass, I was using permatex but I want my candles to be recyclable. I want to try glue dots, also I see people taking about 3M mounting foam? Thanks I’m advance :)
TallTayl
I have been very pleased with the wick stickers from northstar. https://www.northstar3c.com/shop/Item/wick-stickers-100pk-free-shipping Have been buying by the 1,000 for several years and use them on glass, tin and ceramic. used to use high temp glue sticks, and they would soften too much at the end of the burn. Permatex took too long to prep jars, and as you note makes them undesirable for recycling for anything after they are empty.

I’m in the UK and they don’t ship here neither does candle makers store Candle shack in the Uk has been a good source for some wicks a candle partner of mine uses. I’m trying to search through their offerings to see if they have stickers. We have purchased much needed CSN wicks from that shop. 🥰 edited to add, they call them “wick pads” https://candle-shack.co.uk/collections/wick-accessories/products/20mm-adhesive-wick-pads they appear similar to those sold by many US candle suppliers. 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻
Pam W
I use tacky wax purchased from the craft store. It sticks well and is easily removed from bottom of container for reuse.
