lisamrtr
Is there anything I can change with my fragrance oil or method that will help prevent this?? I am certain my wick is NOT too large because the melt pool does not show that, and yet my wick will mushroom so much after 3 hours lit that the flame gets tiny. (my container is 3” in diameter so should be able to stay lit longer). This is happening with only 1 specific scent so far and I really would love to work. Any info would be greatly appreciated !! Pam W
what is the scent and how much are you using?
lisamrtr
The one I’m experiencing most mushrooming with is a Roasted Espresso. I use soy wax and am putting in an 8.5% fragrance load. Do you think it’s to do with the amount of fragrance?
NightLight
Most coffee fragrances I have worked with are super strong. Try lowering fragrance to 6 per cent. You can try a wick size up or down after and or change wick type. What wax are you using.
lisamrtr
I just started using freedom! Ok thanks I will lower the % and see how that works. I’ve been testing with premier cotton and HTP wicks because I can’t find CD anywhere in Canada and I really only have a medium or large option for the wicks when working with premier and the size down works better for my 2” containers.
