Help with ICS FO smoke issue

Hi everyone! I have 4 Indiana Candle Fo's I love Sugar Milk, Vanilla Smoothie, Gourmet Caramel Corn and Funnel cake. I usually use 1.4 oz. FO to 1 lb. of wax for all my other FO's. I just got these and the throw is amazing but with a lot of smoke. I use JS 50-50 wax and only pour tarts. The smoke is coming off when burning in the tart burners. Just curious if I should drop right down to 1 oz of FO to 1 lb. Or does anyone have luck with something in between? Thanks in advance for any help!

I only use tealight warmers. I personally don't have a problem with the smoke. I have bought tons of homeade tarts from diff. people and see it occassionally. But I know it freaks some people out. So I should jump to 10%? That would be 1.6 oz. Wouldn't that make it smoke more?

Sorry Malamute, I need to read a little more carefully! Try cutting back to 1 ounce and that should cure the smoking issue. Let us know if it works.

What you're seeing is not smoke. Smoke only comes from burning a candle. It is the scent evaporating from the melting wax. The same thing happens when you mix FO into wax when you're making the candle or tart. Some of the FO comes out until it cools off. I ALWAYS use 10% in my tarts.
