Crafty1_AJ
I've poured lots of palm pillars, but am just now starting to experiment with container palm candles. I know that soy candles burn differently in a cold room as opposed to a warm room. Is this also true for palm wax? Or do ambient temps when burning the candle not make any difference in burn rate? Crafty1_AJ
Nuts, I meant to post this in vegetable wax section. Sorry, mods! *face palm*
Sarah S
AJ, I have not been making palm candles long enough to make a decisive statement, but my gut feeling is that the ambient temp should not be as much of a factor as soy. Now, that's assuming we're talking about 65-80 degrees, and not a massive fluctuation. The wax is so hard to begin with, and the wicks are really hot, I can't imagine that a 10-15 degree difference would make that much of a difference. But, again, I haven't tested for that specifically, so this just my gut talking! 😄
Candybee
Well I've been making palm wax container candles for several years now and have burned them in cold and hot weather and don't see any significant difference. They burn the same for me in any temp I have exposed them to so far.
Crafty1_AJ
Thanks. I have only test-burned in a cool house, so wasn't sure. Haven't burned in summer yet!
