ajl Posted January 16, 2006 Posted January 16, 2006 I have some peppermint fo that I don't really like. Does any one have any mixing suggestions? Quote
Candle Man Posted January 16, 2006 Posted January 16, 2006 Stright Vanilla with peppermint is good. If you use Buttery Vanilla & peppermint at the right % you get Butter Mint (Baby & Wedding Shower Mints). Quote
Purple Lilac Posted January 16, 2006 Posted January 16, 2006 Apple and mint is good,Chocolate and mint smells just like choc chip ice creamSpearmint and Peppermint Quote
Scented Posted January 16, 2006 Posted January 16, 2006 Rosemary & mintSage & mintTry something you'd consider a water scent and mintBasil, Sage and Mint is great (if you have the basil and sage to mix lol)I'd probably take a cotton swab sample of the mint and mix it with various FO's in a baggie or what have you and then see if you like the smell.Eucalyptus and Mint is supposed to go pretty well together, especially for cold candles. Scented Posted January 16, 2006 Posted January 16, 2006 Oh have you got any grapefruit? I'm thinking a grapefruit and mint might be pretty good, or a lavender and mint might even work too. Quote
ajl Posted January 16, 2006 Author Posted January 16, 2006 Thanks for all the suggestions. I don't have any grapefruit scented but I'm putting it on my ever increasing list of fo's I MUST have Quote
Scented Posted January 16, 2006 Posted January 16, 2006 OK whatcha got that we can play with to help you on combos lol. Quote
AngelaVA Posted January 16, 2006 Posted January 16, 2006 Lavender and mint is really nice. Also, vanilla/mint, chocolate/mint, chocolate/orange/mint, rosemary/mint, lemon/mint, eucalyptus/mint. Just some thoughts. HTH Quote
ajl Posted January 17, 2006 Author Posted January 17, 2006 I don't know what I have without going through them all :rolleyes2 From the suggestions, I do have some Chocolate, Eucalyptus, Lavender and Vanilla. When you mix the cotton swabs in a bag, how long do you leave them for? Thanks Quote
Scented Posted January 17, 2006 Posted January 17, 2006 Just give 'em a few minutes for the scents to mingle. Quote
angiebaby Posted January 17, 2006 Posted January 17, 2006 I have a hand scrub that is Satsuma Mint (but I am not sure if it is peppermint) which smells awesome! So try orange or tangerine if you have it! Quote
