To get a full melt pool in 2 1/2 hours at the beginning of burning a candle, that jar is most likely going to get mad hot the further down you burn it. When you post always tell the following information I listed so others can make suggestions. It helps a lot for those of us who may use that jar, wax, wick combo. What wax? What wick - style and size? What fragrance oil? What style jar and size of it? Also what is the opening size of jar or widest part of jar? How long did the candle cure b/4 burning?
