Curing Time for Soy Candles

Hello there :) I have two questions today.

1. Does it matter if I cure my candles with or without a lid on?  The containers I'm using don't come with a lid so I'm hoping they still cure well without a lid..

2. Does my cure time effect how the wick responds? I'm trying to figure out which wick is best for my containers and wax currently ( beginning phases of candle making)-- & I'm wanting to do a test burn after like 48 hours to see which wick gives me the best burn pool. If I test burn in a couple of days from now, will my wick testing result still be accurate with a longer cure time?

I hope those questions make sense! Thanks!

When I don't have a lid I turn the cooled candles upside down. It can help contain the volatile scent components at the top of the candle, and keeps dust out.

Time definitely changes the burn on soy IME. A burn at 2 days can differ from a burn after 2 weeks.

Take good notes :)
