droidus Posted August 18, 2017 Posted August 18, 2017 I used soy wax in 8 oz jars. After a few hours of burning, this is what it looks like. Thoughts/suggestions appreciated, as this is my first batch!! Quote
droidus Posted August 18, 2017 Author Posted August 18, 2017 Also, how can I promote a more efficient burn, so the wax towards the edges will also burn? Quote
GoldieMN Posted August 23, 2017 Posted August 23, 2017 If you let it keep burning, does it continue to tunnel all the way down? Or do the sides start to catch up. If it keeps tunneling, I would try one wick size up. Goldie Quote
TallTayl Posted August 23, 2017 Posted August 23, 2017 Tins get much hotter in the last third. Burn it to the end and judge then. Quote

If I use, say, a 765 wick and have tunneling, I would go up to a 770. Here is one chart where you will see recommended sizes for different containers: http://www.theflamingcandle.com/wick-guide/ Goldie Quote
