Candybee
Just got my first jug of neem oil from Columbus. Its solidified so I can see that it gels in cold temps. Does anyone know what the melting point for neem is? Just curious. Also, what is the shelf life?
moonshine
I don't know what the melting point is but when I used it for concoctions for horses I would set the jug in warm water and it would liquefy in no time shelf life....again for horses mine lasted over a year, probably close to 2 with no obvious change in consistency or smell - I purchased organic filtered neem and it did say to store in a dark cool place and that it can extend the life of other oils because it resists rancidity but I guess I'm no help seeing your probably using for humans and need a definite answer ? ?
Candybee
That helps me a lot Moonshine! Thanks! My other question was gonna be related to rancidity. I assumed a good recipe mix of stable oils and neem would make a good long lasting soap. Hope I am right.
