nikkidan
How long does C3 have to cure before a test burn?
islandgirl
Everyone is going to have a different answer on this one...C-3 defiantly gets a better throw after it sits about 5 days or so......BUT, I will test mine about 24-48 hours after I make it. If a get a good scent throw... It's a keeper...If I don't, well I won't use that FO because I do not have a week to let some of my orders sit while it cures. :undecided (That way if get an order and the customer wants it right away, then I don't have the cure time issue) So the ones that will throw in a day or two are super strong when you burn them after a week or so!! mbroom2005
I am with Islandgirl.... 24-48 and test then if you can again in about 3 more days. The ones that are strong at 24 hours are good ones in the end. However I have run into just a few (actually only one) that actually moved backwards after about 45 days sitting... I had a customer complain that they couldn't even smell it!! We took them back and burned them and they were right I couldn't smell it either. Anyway that scent is no longer used in our line... :-)Hope that helps!!Mark
Fire and Ice
Five days at least! That's the one thing about C-3 that I don't care for. It's a long cure but the scent throws are awsome after five days. I generally have to pour more stock in the C-4 to allow for curing time. C-2 was great! same scent throw with 1/2 the cure time!
