Bumblebeebabe
Ok so for those of you who make a lot of wax products...have you noticed an increase in your bill? How often do you melt wax and for how long? Also I would like to know about this when It comes to soap makers too....I use crock pots to do a lot of my melting and for all my soap making. will I be paying hundreds of dollars extra a month if I am making 50lbs of wax or soap a month? pcbrook
I have not noticed a huge increase but I do not do thousands of candles a month either. I usually just crank on the melter 3 to 4 times a month and do everything I can at one time.
Jcandleattic
In my experience, I never noticed a spike, even back when I was doing candles on a daily basis. However, that was with just my regular prestos and turkey roasters. I would notice a spike on months that I would turn on my dipping vats more than 4-5 times a month. That unit took a LOT of electricity and it was noticeable.
Scented
I've been seeing about a $10-$15 increase. Then again, my electric company also raised rates.
