rjdaines Posted January 12, 2014 Share Posted January 12, 2014 Is this an alcohol-liquid thermometer? If so, try flicking the thermometer like you would do with an oral or rectal one. Get rid of it and buy a digital thermometer (I use an oven thermometer with a long silver cord and a probe on the end).
