Help with scent throw

Recommended Posts

I always found that with soy candles I needed to add 8% pp. Try upping your FO to 1.25 to 1.50 oz pp and see if that helps. If you still don't get a good throw after using 1.5oz and giving them a good cure you may want to revisit your wicking system and try something different.

Hello there - am testing 464 - have been using cargill c3 till now with great results. The company i get my wax from has stoped carrying it and so recommended 464 - i have tried everything, candle burns beautifully etc, but i get no scent throw. How long should i wait before testing? Also the candle tops are very un smooth after the first burn! Any idea why? Not the case when i first pour. I am using no color and approc 10% FO. These same fragrances get a fabulous throw in cargill at 9%!! Stumped! Any and all help would be great!

TIA

Chinku
