Lids for jars or no?

Hi! I keep going back & forth on whether to use lids on my container candles or not. They add about 20 cents to the cost per candle.

Do you think its beneficial to use lids? Does it keep the candle fragrance fresher or is it more for presentation?

Just my opinion, but if you are using mason/jelly/salsa-type jars they look unfinished without a lid. If it's a more contemporary/status jar, you really benefit from the plastic cover to keep dust/debris off the top of your candle.

Fillmore Containers or Candles and Supplies have them if you are on the east coast.

Lids are the cherry on top. My customers hated fitment type lids (couldn't get em off the jar) and anything cheap looking can break the deal. Heavy glass lids are too heavy and costly but for some areas they sell. My bottom line pays for the supplies and a little in the bank and that's about it. Sell the best made and best looking hand-crafted candle your conscience will bear.
