Eye glitter?

I just came across something on Etsy, and now I'm curious. Wouldn't having glitter used for eyeshadow (doesn't look like there is anything but glitter there) cause a potential problem?

There are some that are considered safe for wear around the eyes. Coastal Scents sells them, and I bought a cheapie eyeshadow from Dollar Tree that said "shimmer" on the package but turned out to be glitter. But now it's my favorite one and I'm wearing it every day. Some Urban Decay shadows have glitter too; "Midnight Cowboy" from them is one of my other favorites. I'm a Middle Eastern dancer and we wear glitter on stage all the time and I usually get those from Coastal Scents.
