Yuck is all I can say about that one...LMAO....
I will tell you, I have searched high and low for as many different food FO's (you wouldn't believe the request I get) and I have never seen a hotdog scent. Good luck finding it and if you do, let me know where please...lol
-
Well that smells good too....

I think they look great! You can send them to me....want my address???...LMAO
Did you scent them in cinnamon? just looking at them...I can smell it!

Glad it worked out for you!! I too have been having a time with shipping....a normal order would take 2-3 days most places and now with the holidays it was taking up to a week to get any where!!
After the time I had last year with broken items and slow delivery...I stop taking orders on the 18th this year and I tell people after the 18th I CAN NOT promise they will have their order by the 24th.
I have just started getting a really good amount orders about a year and half ago....so I am still learning all the good customer service skills there is out there.
I take notes from every order I receive no matter where the order came from. I list the good and the bad and go from there....thinking of way I could make the bad things good or the good things even better.
I read some where that that are 8 steps in good customer service.
here it is

Maybe she wants to burn the candle so she doesen't have to do much work. Like burn the candle to scam the client into thinking she did clean, when she didn't & still get paid. Who knows, she might be tring to be a new con artist.
LOL....that could be true...never know!
That is a strange scent to want in a candle! umm....I'm trying to think what ajax smells like...now bleach...no way would I wanna smell that....make my sick when I clean to much with it. What about offering her a pine & lemon scent...lol...

UPS is getting rid of all the better drivers who make good money and have brains and hiring kids and others who make half as much and that is why the service will get even worse.
Agree! I'm waiting for one driver to wreck!! I see him fly by here everyday...I hate for him to pull in my drive way...when I know he's coming...I keep the kids and animals inside...I have warned him once....next time I am calling on him!!!
-
Your not bothering me AT ALL!
Haha you are so right. i just sent u an email, sorry for the bother. I like the CBL-125 there is somuch less work involved.. lisa -
I would try and see....I honestly never added anything to it...or mixed wax to it.... so I can't say for sure. I just liked I didnt need a hammer to break it up at 2am in the morning...beatin and bangin...lol...and I used color blocks...the colors came out SO nice!
-
Hey, I have used it...no shrinkage at all......never had to add additives. It had a good throw for me...I used FO's from thecandlesource.....it is the messy one though....so soft you can bend a slab right in half....its something trying to get off your hands!!!
-
I use the equal amounts of both and it works really good

Well Jen, at least I'm not the only one asking this stupid question!
HOw embarassing!..........................
ALOT of people dont understand what a "wax dipped" anything is. They see wax and right away ask "where is the wick". Don't feel bad about asking...if this is something you are looking into doing...just make sure you research ...here is a nice link to info http://www.candlesupply.com/how2dipbears.html
and you CAN NOT sell these WITHOUT warnings on them!!!!!!!
-
I also test until I am happy...then I get my friends or family to test too and tell me what they honestly think. Sometimes there are still tweaks I have to work out...and they dont beat around the bush about it either...lol
-
I think we now know why insurance is so expensive.
LMAO....
The only time I make these are for craft shows...they are my #1 sellers. I do get ALOT of people asking me the same question.
-
Seems very easy to make...thanks for the recipe and the pictures!
Now I have some questions....
Do you have to refrigerate them? Let say I make them today…how could I store them so they would still be good to give as holiday gifts or is this something I should make like a few days before I give them away?
-
CS sugar cookie is really good too!
-
I don't agree with making them either. I really thought about it at one time....had people over the summer asking me at shows if I make them....but thinking about it...I just don't think its something good to have around kids.
I did see that some are made of
"botanical ingredients, Pure shea butter. Rich avocado, olive, and coconut oils. Soothing aloe, Exotic jojoba, mild soy and beeswax round out the base ingredients. To this blend we add pure essential oils and fragrances"
http://www.lotioncandles.com/home.html
So how they are made seems like to much work for me..lol
-
I use color blocks....the color I use is vanilla.
-
Not sure about your state but here in MD you need a sales and tax license to sell at shows....I was told anything you make at home...even if its just a hobby....if you are going to sell it...you need tax numbers and I had to get a home business license....darn goverment has their hands out for everything...lol
Most places will ask you for your tax ID #'s so that they wont have to pay taxes on something your going to pay taxes on...think I said that right.
-
Well...in my early days...LMAO...like I have been doing this forever....going on 4 years now....I like...or loved making candles just because mine were/are odd and different. At 1st...I was keeping all my 1st made candles when I would get a new mold in...after a while of that...I realized I should be doing them all in one scent or no scent...til this day...the smell in that cabinet will knock you over...LMAO
But now....I like making my candles and taking them to craft fairs/shows and such. Clearly with a wick in the middle....people still ask "Can I eat this?" or " Are they real?".....so funny...lol...even worst is when my DH tries to eat jelly beans...wax jelly beans I might add.....LMAO....I'm asked everytime there is candy or a dessert in my kitchen if it's real.
-
I honestly get burnt out when I get a large order. By the time I am finished...I want to close my store!! I love making "regular" candles....votives, pillars, jars....even tarts (melts)...but making food candles over and over...I don't know....the mess in the kitchen...just all in all yuck!
