I stopped getting glycerin rivers when I started using 50-50 lye solution and using milks or other liquids as the rest of my liquid %. I only use enough water to dissolve the lye basically. I also use the TD you mix with oil. Love hate relationship with that..ha!

Thanks everyone. Prayers are very much appreciated. I do plan on selling these and adding them to my booth and webstore. I just have to figure out the pricing and what I want to finish them with. I really really wanted to apply resin but that stuff is expensive. So, I'm gonna play around with different things and see what I like.

Thanks!! Well, it's been an on going issue for the last couple of years. Drugs, gambling, bad people, theft, missing court dates and not paying fines. We had him talked into turning himself in since he has warrants. So he was going to do that after I went up there for vacation because he wanted to see me first. But that didn't happen be cause they picked him up the morning I was leaving to come back home. ? He's been in jail for over a week now and no one has heard from him. They will tell us nothing. The only thing I can found out online is that he has 2 preliminary hearings in July. His dad had to go there to put money on a phone account for him so hopefully he will call someone soon. Honestly he is where he needs to be right now. At least we know where he is. After he deals with all this, I told him I would bring him back to Texas and try to help him stay away from all the people up there he knows. I know it's going to be a long road and the same stuff is here too but he doesn't know anyone here so maybe it will help. Who knows!! I just pray and that's all I got. He's only 21. So sad ?

Hi all! Sorry I've been keeping to myself lately. So much going on!! No more craft fairs til fall for me and I have plenty of soap until I start making fall soaps. So I've been working in my garden, went on a small vacation to Branson with my mom and kids & grandkids, working on updating tiles and paint in the house, dealing with my son being in jail for who knows how long ? And the list goes on. So I finally tried something that I've been wanting to do for a while. Fluid pour acrylic painting! It reminds me so much of pouring soap but has some pretty awesome effects. So I thought I would share my first ones with you. It's been a lot of fun trying something new to distract my thoughts.

I have a craftfair tomorrow and it's supposed to rain. ? I have canopy but I wrap my bathbombs in polyolefin shrink bags. I know it allows fragrance through but what about humidity getting in? Should I leave them at home?

Same as TT. I only mix lye with water also. I only use enough water to dissolve the lye and the rest of the liquid amount is normally goat and coconut milk with my additives blended in. I put honey in a small amount of water and heat it in the microwave for a few seconds and it goes in my oils. Sounds like maybe it's the fragrance though.

I was checking out the ribbon wicks and just saw these. I've never seen them before. anyone ever tried them?  Did I miss something?? ?

I'm anxious to see how long it takes. The first time I made ps I used vanilla stabilizer and it stayed pink for many months. The 2nd time it turned orange immediately and from then on I just starting working with the brown.

Well, I finally found the perfect wick for these. ? It ended up being LX-12. They hold 3 1/2 oz, probably could do 4 but I didn't. Really love how they turned out. So I ordered a bunch more jars. ?

I packaged them. You seal with an iron. So easy!! ?

Just how I like some of my products to be!!! Plus I got to use some of my hoarded pretty paper books. These are bath teas. I've never offered them before so we'll see how it goes in 2 weeks at my next fair.

I havent used more then 3% in my neem soap so I don't know how it will react. I have a 7 lb jug now so I plain on upping the % in my next batch. I've read to keep it under 20% but no experience with that. I'm no help. Lol ?

I bevel all my soaps. I just prefer the look cuz I'm a little OCD and I like how it feels in the hand.

Thanks everyone! The 1st one is Japanese Cherry Blossom, then Pink Sugar and Love Spell is the 3rd one. Sweet Pea is the last one. 

Water flowers means I took a break and went outside to water flowers. Haha!! ?

I'll try to remember to take more pics as I make my next flower soap so maybe I can show how I pipe them. It's really just a rose leaf tip and it's not hard at all. ?
