I only used 3% in my soap. I almost forgot about this!! ?

40/42 for me. I use 1/2oz per lb. and buy it at New Directions. I've been happy with most all the essential oils I've gotten from them. I hate their $100 minimum. That sucks!! ?

When I don't buy the big 50lb block from Soapers choice, I use Manteca also. I don't get much smell from either. The Soapers choice does melt much more clear than the Manteca brand though. ?

For soap a good tongue test IMO is the most accurate to tell if soap is lye heavy. Strips are notoriously inaccurate, and reagent solutions are unnecessary and expensive.
Same here ?

Oh man! I hate it when that happens and have had the same thing happen. It takes time to figure out what fairs are good and which are bad. I've only done 3 this year, one in the spring and these last two. I've made more money at these 3 than I did setting up every month at other shows. Plus it gave me plenty of time to make a lot of inventory. Enjoy your down time!! ?

What a nice display! The round 3-tiered baskets give height while breaking up any "squareness" of the corners, along with the large round platter. The pastel open look of the wire shelf units give height and dimension without looking bulky; they all help to also put the products at eye level; the decorative table runners are a great addition. Good for you!
Thank you!! The table runners and dollies were made by my late grandmother and they are quite special to me. ?

Thank y'all! The table clothes are that fuzzy fabric for making stuffed bears ? and other things. I got it at Hobby Lobby. It may be chenille but I'm not sure. It's very soft. It love it too ? It was expensive though ?

Did my last Craftfair of the year today and it was a great day!! I sold out of a bunch of soaps and bath Truffles. Had a fun time and now it's time to focus on making more soap again for spring. I also may have gotten a wholesale account from a lady who has a shop that focuses mainly on bathbombs and things like that. She bought 36 bars to put in her shop. Woohoo!!

I don't do Craftfairs in the summer unless they are inside. Too hot in Texas for me. I'm a delicate flower ? LOL ?

I was lazy this weekend. I spent way too much money shopping online at Toysrus for the grandkids. But I'm done with them. Now to get other family members done. I made beard balms for my last Craftfair next weekend. I sold out of them last weekend. I still have to make more coffee scrubs and beard oil this week when I get my oils in. I got my Christmas tree and decor put up also but other than that, I spent the majority of the time on the couch watching movies. ?

Looks AMAZING
GREAT to hear you had a good day!!!
My first and last sale is for two days, Friday & Saturday... It's a lot of work getting ready isn't it!!!
Yes, it is!! The good thing about this one was we got to setup the night before. Then a company came in and did a 3D tour of it so people can view the tour online. When they see your display they can click on it and it takes them directly to your website so they can shop only me also. It was awesome!! Thank y'all!! ?

Awesome...thank you all so very much. So no one stores their product in their home/workshop in these totes?
Yes, I do ?

Such patience! This looks quite pretty. The milk then gives it its color?
Thanks! I think the milk gives it its creamy look. It was quite green at first and since unmolding, it's more of an off white.

Krazekelly did you drill holes near the top of these totes?
Yes there are holes because these used to be used for our snakes until we upgraded enclosures ? They work perfectly for my soaps since they allow air flow.

Kelly - I look at your soaps all the time and they are so beautiful! I love seeing pictures of the soaps. So creative, artistic! I don't know how you do it. Works of art.
Thank you!! ?

I'm sorry I can't help. I only use MP for embeds in my CP soap and I only use detergent free MP. I don't know anything about additives and things like that for MP soap. Sorry I'm no help for you.

Neem oil
in General Soap Making

Neem will be part of your oils in your recipe. It's not like an essential oil. My bars were specifically made for acne. I used Tea tree essential oil, Dead Sea mud and activated charcoal in them also. With Neem only at 3% of my oils I didn't get any nasty smell from it. And I only used 3oz of tea tree oil for a 10lb batch of soap. Anyway, here is my recipe. ?
