  1. I know there have been several posts on lip balm labels lately, but I'm having trouble keeping the labels on my lips balms. They just unpeel and don't stick well to the tubes. I was wondering if something like a thin layer of mod podge on the outside over the label would seal them on there? Maybe coat the tubes before I fill them? Do any of you have ideas or think this would work very well? Mod podge does dry clear, thats what made me think of this.
  2. I'm with ya!! Micas are the way to go when coloring bath bombs. The liquid dyes just don't do the job
  3. So I went and ordered every single color bath bomb dye that I had found on this site for super cheap!! I couldn't resist. It is made especially for bath bombs and she had all the colors that BB has....But not the labomb colors...Maybe thats why I'm let down? Anyways the dye takes way too many drops to get the desired color and by then your mixture is a nasty mess. I have played around and none of my bath bombs are turning out with this liquid dye. I went and made some bath bombs with good old mica pigments and they turned out perfect and I was able to get beautiful color with the pigment. I'm just wondering if this dye really is meant for bath bombs or if its just being sold that way? And if it really is for bath bombs what else could I possibly use it for?
  4. I agree! They should definitely keep it posted onto their site. I'm super glad to hear that it's not discontinued though. I'm going to keep my eyes peeled and snatch some up when it comes back in stock! Thanks for the responses
  5. Does anyone know why they stopped carrying this? And if and when it will ever be back. I was just getting ready to order some and it's gone.
  6. Thank you so very much for sharing this link with me! It finally worked and those are perfect! Now I just gotta figure out how to order lol
  7. Thats much closer to what I'm looking for. But all the 8oz sizes are short and wide. I have been searching to find some that are the tall kind. With lids that peel off instead of screw on and off. Seriously just like play dough jars and lids. But I have searched high and low and cannot find any.
  8. It has a slight yellow color to it. Very shiny and greasy feeling. looks just like a tub of vasaline for reals lol. I do not like it at all. Its horrible. The african shea I love the natural shea butter from wsp. I'm assuming since it was natural shea butter it wasn't refined, correct?
  9. Ok I get what your saying now. Seriously thank you so much! I can't wait to try it out and see if I can do it.
  10. So it can be done, it just has to be whipped for a long time and then added to the top very quickly. gotcha. I'm atleast going to try. I love the way it looks! Thank you for sharing. -So it is like icing a cake? And when you say rock hard, do you really mean like rock hard? Not soft like soap?
  11. No because I was using a dropper to get into the mold. The mold has tiny little holes to put the soap into. So you have to use a dropper otherwise you really would have a huge mess and no soap would make it into the mold.
  12. Okay so one of the ladies from BB wrote back today and sent me a link on a tutorial using them same exact mold. In the tutorial she has the molds in two pieces not together. she fills the one half of the sphere mold with soap, lets it harden then places the top on. Then she fills it up the rest of the way. So maybe that will help out. Her little spheres are perfect, but then again she is the soapqueen! lol
  13. Can someone please recommend a nice shea butter to me. I bought some from WSP the natural shea butter. I was very happy with it and love that its really really thick. But I want to experiment before settling and I think WSP is a bit over priced on most items, even though I find myself still buying lol. I had bought some African Shea butter and was completely unhappy with it. In the photo it looked solid and thick. But what I received was something that resembled vaseline. Is that how it's supposed to look? Or did I get a bad batch?
  14. I will try just whipping it and see if it comes out fluffy? I just don't want to do the kind that sets up rock hard like the cupcake topping does. Plus I'm horrible at piping lol. I know this can be done because I see tons and tons of soaps with the pretty fluffy top.
  15. I appreciate that thread But....I have tried this before when I did my cupcakes and the frosting gets rock hard. I'm looking for a way to actually make the soap itself fluffy.
  16. I see all those beautiful soaps with the thick fluffly looking tops. It looks like a meringue on the top of the soap with lots of texture. I was wondering if this can be achieved with M&P? And if so can someone offer so easy tips for me? Here is a photo I found on Etsy so I could show you all an example of what I'm talking about. Sorry for the silly question, but we all gotta learn lol.
  17. I went ahead and took the advice and contacted BB about the mold. Hoping they can offer some insight on how to better use it. I will let you all know what they say. TallTayl I think your advice is good about drilling bigger holes in the top. The holes are too small and that does make it hard, even using the pipettes.
  18. I ordered the sphere mold from BB and am super unhappy with it. I use rubber bands to help keep it tight and in place, just like stated in instructions. I use a dropped to fill mold, just like stated in the instructions. And this mold just leaks everywhere. It's as if my soap gets everywhere but in the spheres! It makes a huge mess and doesn't make balls at all. Would a silicone sphere mold thats one single piece be easier? I don't think I'm doing anything wrong with this mold. I have followed instruction. But no luck, just mess.
  19. So I hate getting on here and asking over and over where do i find this and that...but I don't where else to look. I'm looking for plastic tubs- kinda like playdough tubs with lids that are white or clear. Like the ones grumpy girl uses for her sugah scrubs lol. I have searched the net and can't find anything. I want them to be heavy duty not think flimsy plastic. Any suggestions?
  20. I got this same stack of boxes last week with a letter attached to the front. I think you only get the samples if you have ordered the other regional boxes?
  21. Well I certainly do not want to stain my tub or my skin for that matter....lol I was just trying to get some ideas on some good colorants for bath bombs. (Ones that are not going to dye me or my tub ) But ones that will color the bombs nice and bright. I think I might try some of the colorants from TKB.
  22. Has anyone ever ordered from TKB? I noticed them online yesterday and was really impressed with the prices. They have colorants for cosmetics and bath and body products. If you have ordered was it a good experience? Do the sell good product?
  23. I have the lavendar and the hot pink but I swear its like you get a few drops!! Very very teeny tiny amount. I like BB.com but the shipping is outrageous for me.
  24. Hi all. I want to color my bathbombs like super bright! Bright bold or neon colors. Could some please point me in the right direction on what sort of dye I should use to achieve these, and where a few nice places are to purchase proper dyes. I always been a big fan of bright colors. I want like neon pink and lime green...you get the idea Thanks everyone!
