  1. The ones i got to try (keep in mind this was several years ago) was an actual paper and it worked ok with the soap. It had to be mixed with act. water and then rubbed for it to dissolve completely. Unless you keep rubbing it in your hands until the paper is dissolved, it would leave parts of it around. Same as a really thin piece of soap. May be technology has improved nowadays and they work ok now. I just dipped it in melted soap and left it to air dry... Needless to say I just tried a few of those and stuck with my petals... Las
  2. PS: I didn't like the paper soap because it ended up leaving the soap in a clump on the sink....
  3. I make and sell thousands and thousands of Soap Petals. I have tried the desolving paper and I got it somewhere off the internet a few years back, but didn't like it. The Soap Petals, takes a long time to make, but it is one of my best sellers, year round. Just last year alone I sold 15000+ Soap Petals. You can check out my Soap petals at www.gourmetscents.info and click on soap petals. I was also featured on t.v. at a local craft show for my petals.. Las
  4. Other than for my parents, very very few family / friends have bought from me. However, I have been going to craft shows and selling them very successfully for 3 years now. I agree w/ the poster that said that your soaps are priced too low. Especially that bath bar (the oval one w/ a rose on it), I sell just ONE of those (in a plastic ziplock bag) for 3 dollars. I usually charge $1 per 1 oz. Don't be discouraged. Strangers out there love my stuff and I do pretty good w/ all that business... Good luck with your business.. Las
  5. Am coming in late to this thread, but www.scentoils.com has great warmers. They used to have really good warmers for as little as 1.00 with their closeout pricing which is no longer the case, but still their warmers are pretty reasonably priced. I've bought from them for a long, long, long time. Their min. order is 100 dollars for the wholesale pricing and and their shipping is reasonable. I live not too far from them and I always go pick up my orders. So, this company is legit and their stuff is good. Las
  6. I just say - Soap base (shea butter, olive oil whatever), fragranced body oil and soap coloring...
  7. I live close to them and am planning on getting all their bases as samples and trying them out.... But, not till next week Las
  8. Hi All, My name is Las and am a devoted wife and a mom and I live in SoCal. I have been making M&P soaps for a long time, but mostly it was for fun. For the last 3 years though I've been making and selling Hand Dipped Silk Soap Petals and decorative soaps... My website (under construction) is www.gourmetscents.info and I have a facebook fan page at www.soapfavors.info My biggest seller is - Hand Dipped Silk Soap Petals Last year alone I sold over 12300 petals and yep, it was a LOT of dipping LOL... I LOVE my business. I just started making LEGO soaps and already have orders for 14 doz. from different people. I am soooo excited to have found you guys though. I learned everything I did by trial and error and just last night, I found you guys and was thinking that this would have been a great forum to have found when i first started out. Of course I'm still learning and will be for a long time to come and I hope to learn from all of you professionals and get to know you guys too. So glad to find others that love M&P soaps as much as I do... and have as much fun as I do. BTW, I live close to EBC and i plan on getting their stabilizer for the Vanilla (anyone used that?) and some of their samples. Right now I get my soap from Michaels w/ the coupons. I use the Shea Butter soap to make my solid soaps and Olive Oil for the petals / translucent soaps.. Anyways, sorry to ramble. Just excited.. Lovely to meet you all.. Las
