  1. OK, for the sake of time, drama & nerves-

WHO is being bashed & where?

    WHAT video?

WHO on the blackball list has caused problems? Surely it can't be all of them. (that seems to be the gist of the issue..)

    WHERE is the slander?

Can the cards just be laid out? Aside from contacting a child, what did someone do that was so terrible? There are reviews all over the net on every type of business, every product, every everything, all sorts of complaints everywhere, so my simple mind can't quite absorb all this. It seems, to me, like you're all talking in code.

  2. OK, found a reviewer who made reference to some "drama", lol. That would be an understatement.

There were people commenting about being on the "blackball list" that aren't even on it! Maybe there's more than one list, lol or fake names are being used ;)

Also saw complaints about addresses on the list; I saw no addresses. ??

    Such drama! :)

  3. So to pick this apart....even if it doesn't say it under credit cards it clearly states the will hold packages for 2 weeks at which time they will be unpacked and returned to stock. That should have given her two weeks before she got charged a restocking fee...at the least. She shouldn't of gotten charged at all but going by what it says she didn't even meet the two week time to restock the order.

Maybe pointing this policy out to them, the packaging before payment thing that is odd will convince them they need to refund your 15% fee or you will.....

    :highfive:

  4. It's appalling that one of them went after Lei's child. Those women plastered her private information on their group page for that entire member list to see. They terrified her son to the point he was scared to go to school. Now they're making videos that they're appalled someone would name names. No remorse from them at all.

I guess nothing is sacred or safe. They can attack you, your business and YOUR KIDS because you sell tarts? They made themselves public with commercial type videos and facebook groups. They give reviews in exchange for wax as payment. They are a barter business. I'm glad I posted the blog. I'd do it again.

    It got 3,512 views. : )

    Where are these videos? Youtube?

  5. Some interesting highlights from their policies-nowhere does it mention a restocking fee on credit card orders

Payment by mail orders ship once we receive payment. Hold for payment orders must be paid with a Money Order or Certified Cashier's Check. Once order is placed we will process and give total with shipping. The order will be packed and held until payment arrives. We can only hold packages for 2 weeks, at which time they will be unpacked and returned to stock. Unclaimed orders will be billed a 15% restocking fee. (doesn't say this under 'credit cards')

During order processing, we may need to contact you by e-mail or by phone if we have questions about your order.

We want you to be satisfied

    Credit Cards

The name on the credit card must match the name on your account, and the address must match the billing address of your credit card. If the shipping address is not the same as the credit card billing address, please note this when ordering.

If your card is a debit card, please specify if you will need to be contacted with your total charges so you can enter that in your checkbook ledger.

In order to prevent mix ups and to protect against fraud, we no longer keep credit card numbers on file in our shopping cart or in the office, so you will need to give your number each time you order.

  6. Did you talk to your bank? or check your bank account for around the time you ordered? Did they never send you an email letting you know there was a problem? I can't imagine any other supplier that I've ordered from not following up if there was a problem! That bites.

  7. I have two wholesale accts and one consignment. The two wholesales are doing well. Customers are happy and I keep getting reorders, even post xmas. With the consign acct I had originally pushed wholesale. But they wanted to consign as a short trial through xmas. They are good with paying so that is fine. They thought sales were good. It is a small grocery store geared toward health food and sales were averaging $125-$150/month. This is based on the amount they got from customer. I got 60%. They carry my small candles. Not sure what you all think of those numbers. Now we are in new year and they still want to consign!! I told them that i would bring in new scents for the new year, assuming they would wholesale. But no. Consign again! Do I consign through Jan and then draw the line? Or do I draw the line now?

Tell them Christmas is over. :) Time to wholesale.

  8. might be slightly off topic but my question is still with clamshells. I am looking at using these but I am wondering how you test your wax ( I would think it has to be somewhat similar to doing a burn test for a votive. You would have to ensure the wax has a good throw? Also is the hot wax ( I use Soy ) poured directly into the mold?

When I test an FO, I only make enough for 2 portion cups. That way I don't waste wax/FO.

You pour the wax into the clamshell around 150°.

  9. Well its no-one on this board that I know of, if they are on this board they of course are not under their real name, but I do have their real name from their correspondances to me and my son. They (a few) are buyers in the wax community on Facebook. But there is someone, we are not sure who, that is on this board running back to this group of women and sharing everything that gets posted to this thread. Supposively they are taking pictures with their cell phones of this thread and sending to the wax review group that likes to "bash" whatever vendor they are currently not happy with for some little reason or another, or they are sharing the link to this thread in their facebook group to find out whats being said.

At least y'all aren't complaining in a "closed group"... what are they afraid of that we all can't go read their threads? ;)

  10. I just pour the spent wax from my warmer dish into my "junk wax pan" when the scent is gone. Then I wipe it out with a paper towel & it's good to go.

I've not had good luck with turning off the warmer and still having good scent when I turn it back on. I just leave the warmer on & see how many hours I can get out of 1 melt.

  11. FYI, this is not topic related, but Ebay certainly does NOT offer feedback for both ends of the transaction. A seller has no idea if a customer is a problem based on displayed feedback. A seller is ONLY able to leave positive feedback on Ebay. Ebay changed their feedback system in 2008 which is the main reason why I quit selling there. I do not agree with seller blackmail using negative feedback to spite a buyer who left it for them, but Ebay's current feedback system stinks. There has to be a better way and Ebay has not found it.

That said, I prefer to run my business based on the numerous positive selling experiences that I have had. I certainly have had my share of difficult cutomers. However, they are my difficult customers and I would rather just move on and keep my own short personal private list.

Yes, but on ebay, the seller can at least get some help from ebay itself, whereas independent candle folks have no one to assist in a bad transaction.
