  1. Candlescience has a good Buttered Rum.

I'm testing this in a melt...... & I must be missing something. The reviews on CS say it's like a Lifesaver. & to me, it smells nothing like that, but I can't put my finger on what it does smell like. Maybe I just don't know what Buttered Rum really does smell like... anyone else?

  2. Agree with Pita. The sample of the TCS wax is not at all like 6006 to me. It does not have the properties of any soy wax that I have used. It is much more paraffin-like to me. I guess I am also perplexed why I would want to have a wax that is supposed to be the same as 4630 rather than my just ordering 4630 and knowing what I am getting.

For now I will test the TCS wax and make my decision where to go from there.

That just struck me as funny......... cuz you've tried them all!!:laugh2:

  3. I believe that was 001s thread, or he posted on it after someone started it. Jeanie, Ravens & Beth( I think) all called Candle Wic & asked about the waxes & similarities.

    Maybe that's why I couldn't find the email............

  4. TY, TY. Had a feeling it might be so for two reasons. One is through burning the two but another I think I may have already divulged but too lazy to go check what I've said.

So for sure Dave? Like positive for sure? LOL It will save me from buying a slab of 125 to test side by side one last time since I don't have any left here.

Have you tried CW CBL130 by chance? I loved that wax but something changed. Could very well have been my own candle nose.

Jeanie, I had this in my notes from the last time we discussed 125 vs 4630... it seems like I was also told in a CW email, but I can't find it... but here's what someone else on the forum said:

"I found this out when I asked them if they could order a pallet of 4630 for me, I'm closer to them than any other wholesale company and they replied with "...our CBL-125 is identical to that product and the only difference is we bring the product in liquid form and slab the material but not allowed to call it 4630"

  5. I did find this on a rep's website... maybe this is the "wall" thing?

The most common concern with “burning” petroleum vs. vegetable waxes have gone on for years and Scentsy have finally been able to step up and think outside the box. Rather than burn the wax and polluting the air, walls or furniture Scentsy warmers heat up the wax to your natural body heat to release the scent out of the wax leaving the wax in the warmer. The issue of what type of wax burns cleaner is not an issue and if ever asked I am always quick to tell our customers that Scentsy wax is just there to hold the scent and release it. Scentsy has invested millions to create the most efficient wax that won’t get to hot and is safer than any Soy or Vegetable candle. I would rather have a Petroleum based wax in a warmer than having a soy wax candle dispersed into my house or lungs any day.

What does "heat up the wax to your natural body heat" mean??

  6. Well Linda, I took a chance last week and ordered some coconut wax.

I did try to call Accu-Blend ~ very sad customer service... then I called the California Candle place, was a bit better but I got the feeling that I was interrupting something.

Anyway, hopefully my sample box will arrive soon.

I did find out that the Apricot wax is done by special order only, and 1 pallet at a time. No samples, nothing to buy to try... that's a leap of faith if I ever saw one.

I did try to find out what the percentage of the wax was coconut wax, but they would just tell me it is a blend of natural waxes.

Back when I called them, they were one & the same. :) Same address; same phone #. Don't know if that's still the case or not.
