wELL Crap. Looks like I'll be sampling another one from CS.
I didn't care for NG's because I thought it wasn't heavy enough with the Chili. Here's hoping this one is full on spice!
There's a big difference, imo, in Sweet Orange Chili Pepper & Orange Chili Pepper. I think the OCP is way heavy on the chili, if that helps.

looks like soy to me

I have a request for Lemon Mint Leaf from BBW.
Here's the description:
"A refreshing mix of freshly cut lemon balm and spearmint blended with soothing vetiver and zesty citrus"
Does anyone know of a dupe for this?
Just found one at JS. Has anyone tried this?

I priced some EO from our usual suppliers for a friend that was considering buying from DoTerra. I was SHOCKED at what they charge. Wowzers.
-
You buy 10 pounds to try for the first time?! I have to be misunderstanding your post, lol.

Yes, I'm a little over an hour away from BitterCreek South and order a lot of my wax from them but I've not been overly impressed with most of the FO's that I get from them. I poured out a whole 16 oz bottle of their oatmeal cookie, it smelled so bad! But I do have a couple from them that are ok.
I'm only 10 miles from Daystar (I work at the school where her son attends so she delivers to me), 15 miles from Texas Candle Supply from where I work and an hour from Houston Candle Supply.
I've ordered three oils from Texas Candle Supply and they were all good and strong. He doesn't have a store front but my oldest son lives in Livingston so he just met his wife and got my order and brought it to me.
I've been wanting to try some of his other oils but don't see any reviews on here about his company or Houston Candle supply and I was just wondering if someone used their oils and which ones they recommended.
It's kind of dangerous for me to be that close to all those FO's LOL!

Can I just say that we are all incredibly jealous for being so close to so many suppliers?

It is best not to reply at all. You are just confirming that they have a valid email address if you reply. Delete, delete, delete.
This.

I would try smaller CDs in that jar.
-
I never could get the status wicked at all.....lol. Maybe just try a different jar for the heck of it instead of so many different waxes.
-
I just saw an ad on my local CL. Went to their etsy page...... they also have a unique method of making candles
" Our candles are very strong, instead of measuring the scent we just pour it on in. "
-
I think the whole thing sounds like a pain in the patoot. I wouldn't want to use it or make it.

If you buy a kit, be sure to also get some sampler packs of wicks so that you'll have some different sizes to try.

Wow, I just now read the FB post that OP was referring to...... sounds familiar, lol. I remember when I suggested they change their instructions to match what IGI says....... & he promptly & not so nicely told me where I could go & what I could do. At least that got my supplier list shorter

I asked her once about an FO & she was open to telling me it was from NG. You might ask her if there's one you're curious about.
-
:pCan you explain why?
Ya really want me to? lol!! :lipsrseal*dead horse*
Okay, wth. They say to only heat Glassglow to 155°......

With 415 I heat to 185 and never had a problem.
I see more of a problem not getting wax hot enough to incorporate the FO properly.
Also, I would trust CS directions.
Ditto this especially if those 2 suppliers were the choices...

It might be worth it to stick with your original wax for a while longer. It's possible you just haven't hit on the right type/size wick yet. Search the forum for your wax & look for tips on wicks & FO load.

I freaking love your labels.........

Sandalwood oil?
-
You could try increasing the % of 4794 in your blend to about 60%-70%.
-
I found that that line would disappear if I flipped the jars to cool.

Yea Found these today in my Wal-mart.
Clarus 3022 wax

def worth bothering because their "sample" is a whole slab I've never tried it for tarts, but I love using it for candles.
