  4. No one sells soaps on their websites that does wholesales? Any ideas where I can buy them? Or would I just be better off trying to do m/p for right now? Thanks Angie
  5. Hi folks, My friend (catsclaws) and I are working on a website and selling stuff in my shop(hairsalon), most of the stuff is coming from bases except for our body creams and scrubs. We are also offering wickless candles and tarts that I make. What I would love to add to it is soaps but for now I am still testing and really love to see who all sells soaps wholesale. If someone on here does this I would love to work with them and their soaps, I would rather give my business to friends on here first. I think it will be awhile before I can begin selling my own so atleast this would get some on our site and in my shop. If anyone is interested or knows where I can buy some please let me know:) Thanks Angie

  13. I have been so inspired by maryann and Julia that I made some coffee scrub today:yay: I scented it with fresh brewed coffee, caramel, and warm vanilla sugar...it smells so good and so far has set up really well. Its an emulsified scrub. I am going to tweek it alittle more and thats probably what I am going to send for the swap!!! Sorry the pic isnt the best but couldnt get the camera to do right:angry2: It really looks so much bettter in person, I will try and get hubby to take a better pic for me.
  14. Ohhhhhh Kimberly thats an idea now:yay: Ok so how about sugar scrub?? anyone have any luck with scrubs in those things? God I love this place:highfive: By the way Julia....Your scrubs rock...I am so glad I ordered them!!!
  15. OK I got some of the little foil sample pack and I am trying ( if thats what you want to call it:rolleyes2 ) to fill them up with lotion!!! I have used a pastry bag, a small turkey baster but nothing is really working very well at all w/o making a huge mess. Please does someone have a hint or tip to make it easier???? I cant take it anymore:p I am going crazy...LOL Thanks Angie
  16. I agree Lynn, that is what had me concerned. But then again part of me thinks surely no one would just buy 1 lip tube balm or for you one air freshener would they? I mean if they are going to order I would think that it would be more than that. So maybe we are a little too worried about it. And I hate to be mean but if you state shipping is the same no matter what maybe that will persuade them into ordering more???? I dont know:undecided
  17. Good question suds, now lets hope we get an answer:) Angie
  18. Well personally I say send a few pds. to me;) No I do want to try some of this though, I just ordered some and I am going to try and make sugar scrubs out of it.....you are in the scrub swap ya know;) Angie
  19. For those of you that use paypal for your shopping cart on your websites, can you do the shipping by actual cost? I have read it and by my understanding its only a fixed rate or a percentage....and if I cant do it by actual which one do you all like best....and is the simplest? Thanks in advance everyone!!! Angie
  20. Suds...duh why didnt I think of that:rolleyes2 ....LOL once again great advise!!! OK off to make a new thread. Thanks again to everyone who answered my questions!!!! Once again proves why I love this site:highfive: Angie
  21. Thanks for the responses!!! Ok next question, how do you go about doing real shipping? Can the paypal cart do that or would we have to go with something different? Thanks again!!
  22. Suds, you have really been a help to me thank you. I agree that the simplicity of doing that way is a good thing. That may be the route we take. Like you said if someone orders alot it may be real heavy and cost more to ship, but they are ordering more stuff so it kinda balances out in my opinion. Thanks again!!! Angie
  23. Thanks suds, I just checked out your site....very nice by the way:highfive: and I see that you do a flat rate price no matter what they order. So I assume that is working for you? So like I said before no matter if they buy one small item or a few big items it is still the same cost....right? I am sorry this is the one thing that is confusing to me:rolleyes2 Thanks so much for responding though:)
  24. Hi folks, My friend and I are thinking about doing a website, mainly for bath and body items. And mainly using bases for most stuff. My question is how do you determine shipping costs? I mean if someone buys a lip balm well that wouldnt cost the same to ship as say 3 things of lotion would it? We have a site that we are playing with right now...we are using a paypal cart and you can do shipping thru them but if I am understanding it right, it would basically be the same shipping for both of the items mentioned above. So how do you all do it? Hopefully I am making sense:rolleyes2 Thanks for any help!! Angie
