  1. Man I don't get it. Shipping to KY for 20.00. I had a case of the jars, lids to go with them and 12 glass jars. Why in the heck did they want 60.00 from me? Now they are all gone:angry2: .

I beleive they charge shipping on individual items no matter how much you order. There have been a lot of complaints about WSP's shipping

  2. LOL Gene. When I was a kid, my neighbor's had a housekeeper named Mamie. She was very radical for her day (1960's) . Wore men's jeans and plaid shirts only and was always collecting stuff for people she knew with troubles from her neighborhood. Mamie saved all the bacon drippings and other grease for soap. I remember watching her stir the pot as a little girl.

Thats how it was done, nothing wasted

  3. I'm lost about what you mean with the label and using Monoi's name?

And, it looks great by the way, very classy.

There are specific requirement for using the Monoi seal (certificate de Appeliton (sp) )

If you follow the guideline and use the minimum percentage for a specific product you are allowed to use the seal on the product. Oil based products require 50%, soap 30%, etc

Monoi oil itself has to be 90%. hence the difference noted from different suppliers

  4. Something that has not been addressed is % of superfat. Since no lye amounts were given this could be the problem. Also how much water was used? A high % of OO can produce a soap that is softer fresh out of the mold but will become rock hard after a good cure. I have made 100% lard soap that doesn't have any odor that isn't present with any other oil or combo. Smells like soap. Seems as though a lot of folks immediately blame the lard. Personal preference aside, it's hard to beat lard:thumbsup:
