  1. Yes, I've had a few. I've shipped many many packages and 99.9999% have been fine.   I had one recently where it said delivered and she said she didn't get it. I have no idea how to tell if they're telling the truth.  It has happened to me too.  I told her it said delivered so I told her to check with her post office, her neighbors and such to see.  She fought it a little but I told her once she does those things it would probably show up.  I didn't hear from her after that. I don't know if she was lying or she felt it just wasn't worth it. Hers was a pretty small order.

Most customers are honest people ordering online.  I've worked in retail too so I understand your apprehension.   I have the tough customer here and there but I deal with it as they come.  It can be a bit defeating but I try to focus on the positive and realize I have lots of happy customers.

I don't do the signature thing. Most deliveries happen when people are at work so that would make it really complicated.  You are covered if you use tracking and it says delivered.

  2. I ship a lot. In fact, yesterday I shipped 18 packages! :)  It's getting busy and I'm happy.

I ship usps because it's just the logical choice for me and I'm very happy with them.   Usually first class with a poly bubble envelope. I ship priority when the orders are bigger.  Regional Rate boxes are great!   The only problems I've had are minor, and most of the time my fault because of typing wrong addresses or the customer giving wrong address.

  3. This is still so much better than commercial soap. I make all kinds of soap, including melt and pour, and there is such a difference. A good MP base blows away any commercial soap in my opinion.

Yes I totally agree with you!  I gave some to my boyfriend (now EX boyfriend)  last year for his birthday and he called and was like this is the best soap EVER!   The ingredients are still amazing.

  4. I still only do melt and pour.  I don't have the room or the time to set aside to mess with lye right now.  Maybe when my kids (12, 10 , 6) are a little older.  I homeschool so they're always here and I have a very small workspace.  I'm happy with the melt and pour though. :)  It's fun!

  5. I haven't used commercial soap in a few years.  I was actually using body wash, which wasn't too bad on my skin.  But what I make is way better and I can make it in any fragrance I want to. :)

I do use my body butters and sugar scrubs as extra for my skin as well.  Especially my feet which used to crack and bleed but not any more!

  6. Thank you for the compliments on the soap!  It takes forever to make.

Tinsel is mostly pomegranate and then the mint is like, what is that, oh it's mint. lol.  It's such a cool fragrance.

Trappeur, I have some made if you want some. :)

  7. Tinsel is one of my very favorites! I used a tinsel scented soap this morning :)   It's definitely an underrated fragrance.  I have thought over the years that maybe a new name would help it  sell but I've still kept it as tinsel.   Winterberry is a great name for it.  Though I wonder if people would expect a winterberry to be more piney or cranberryish?

  8. Ugh. I hate getting teeth pulled!

Good luck to all of you with shows!!

I am hoping to work on the huge list of new lip balms that I've been wanting to get out for fall.     Plus adding more sugar scrubs and body butters.

I also got some new fragrances in so I hope to put those in some sort of product.  :)

  9. I just checked the places I've purchased my portion cups and they don't seem to have the black ones either.  Weird.  I get the ellipso brand clear oval ones from wasserstrom.   Instawares.com has the 2 oz black oval ones in stock but not the dart round ones.   Sorry you're having a hard time finding the ones you use.  That's annoying.

  10. Ok. Here are the pics. Sorry it took me a couple of days.

The green one is my lip balm base that I make from scratch and the other is my solid lotion, also made from scratch. :)   It's so nice to make up big batches beforehand.  I'd like to get even bigger ones so I can make like 10 lbs of each at a time since I go through them so fast.    I like some of the buckets that some of my ingredients come in so I'll probably move to those eventually.

I don't keep it in the fridge.
