I'm in awe. Those look really great. The colors are so vibrant!

Oh no! I hope your hubby is ok!
Have you received anything you ordered yet? I made my first order and it will be here on Monday.

I've been researching the presto pots too and it seems the way to go. There's tons of threads here on them. They kind of look like a crock pot. I'm trying to figure out where to purchase one. I'll probably go with Walmart. You can set the temperature on them and they shouldn't go over that temperature. I haven't used one yet though so I could be wrong. lol.

I agree! Very very nice. The colors are great.

Love it. Great one!

Thanks all for your replies. The one on Ebay is about $60 or more shipped. Then there's a teflon one at Walmart for $25. The stainless steel one at walmart is $60. I was just wondering which one is the best for my money.

I am trying to find the best place to get a presto pot. I was searching walmart and there's a stainless steel one. Would this be better than the one with teflon?

I looked at a couple of places, but they were all the screw tops. Would small tins would? I have some really small tins (probably an oz or less) that would probably work. I'd have to do some searching to find where I bought them since it's been a long time.

Those are really really pretty. Nicely done.
I'm in Oregon too!

SBS...here is a good detailed thread on coconut wax and mixing it with soy, it makes for good reading.

I'd pm you but I don't have that ability yet. I loved the way the coconut wax candles look. Did you ever try them wickless?
Would you recommend doing a coconut wax/soy blend for melts/tarts?
I'm in Oregon so ordering from Swans wouldn't be too bad on the shipping.

Thanks! I look forward to comparing notes.

Yup, I'm new too so I think it takes month or so to have those privileges.

Ohhh, tax refund. That's awesome! I am excited for you! I usually get a pretty big one but I got divorced this last year, so no refund this year for me. Not because of the divorce, but because I'm a stay at home mom.
I have another business so I am using that money to start trying this. Hopefully in the next month I'll have enough!

I am so jealous you got your first order done already! I am still saving pennies, lots of them. lol.
I bet you are as excited as I am to start. Good luck and I can't wait to see what you find with your wax. I haven't decided which wax I want to try.

Welcome! I am very new to this too. The search button is your friend. I have learned a ton and I haven't had to ask any questions because the information is all here.
Good luck!

Welcome to the forum! There is a whole section on wickless to browse.
Yes, thank you! I have been reading a lot of it and the information is so helpful! Just confused at which wax I want to start out with but I see it's all trial and error!
-
I will definitely post as I go! It will be awhile before I can get supplies so I am taking notes for now.
-
Hello! I am new and doing lots of research too! Good luck!
-
Welcome! What kind of products are you interested in making?
Thanks for the warm welcome!
Wickless candles or uncandles or whatever you want to call them. lol. I am interested in melts/tarts. I already have people chomping at the bit for them and I haven't even purchased the supplies!
-
Thank you! I'm sure I'll have questions once I get my supplies and start making them.

Hi! I have been lurking for a few days and wanted to introduce myself. I tried posting in the Off Topic section but it wouldn't let me.
My name is Suzy and I have been wanting to get into candle making for some time now. For now, I am just reading and gathering information while I save for supplies.
I have another small business that I have through Etsy.
This is a great board and thanks for all the information. It's so nice! I look forward to getting to know you all.
Thinking about switching to an all soy wax from a blend. Words of wisdom?

I haven't started yet, but I have done a lot of research on this board. The more I searched, the more confused I got. lol. I want to do soy also. I realized I just need to buy some wax and find what works best for me. I am starting out with the ecosoya pb and ecosoya cb excel. If those don't work I'll try the Golden Brands as those seem to get good reports from a lot of people also.
