  1. Umm, who lights a candle in their shed and leaves it unattended? Kinda strange...
  2. Inez, I'm glad that I could help in some way! And yes I can only imagine the lack of or false info that circulates. It happens here WAY too much. In fact some of the info has changed concerning testing numbers and a lot of our old school doctors still rely on the old numbers! Very frustrating!
  3. Hi Inez! I'm a one woman show and there isn't enough hours in the day for me so I'm not on here a lot but I felt that I needed to respond to your post because I've kinda been there. I developed horrible depression and went to a psychologist which was hubby's idea because he didn't know what to do! It turned out that I had undiagnosed Hashimotos which had my thyroid out of whack. But during the depression it was very dark and scary and the only way I could try to describe it was that I felt "stuck". I couldn't move forward from that horrible place. When I was finally coming out of that season (thanks to my thyroid meds) I had to move slow. Too much or too fast just overwhelmed me. So my suggestion is to take all of your ideas and write the down on paper. Don't worry about organizing them or how much money it requires...just get them down in a tangible form out of your head. After this, organize them into a) what can you do right now, this moment what requires more info or research before you can move forward and a best guesstimate time wise and c) which ideas require more money and how much. Hopefully you can take a and b ideas and make them pay for c ideas! I hope this helps and I wholly agree that word of mouth is the best free advertising out there! It sounds like you're off to a good start with the soap class. I'll be praying for you!
  4. This may not be needed because I'm sure others have already caught it, but if you order the 4oz bottle of Pink Sugar...DON'T! It will cost you more than if you order 4 of the 1oz bottles (like .55 more I think). And if you're like me, then you spend WAY too much on the addiction, er I mean hobby as it is.
  5. I'm a lurker, but I had this exact thing happen to me using 4630 in 16 oz jj. It happened twice but it only happened with black raspberry vanilla. I thought I might have cooled the first one weird due to the ambient temp being too cold so I poured another and was super cautious about cooling it. I even put a warmed box over it so it would gradually cool. I took the box off and lo and behold there was the huge tunnel again!
  6. Hi and welcome! I have Hashimoto's Thyroiditis so I totally understand about the fatigue... Happy Pouring!
  7. It all looks very classy and well put together. It makes me want to place an order!:rolleyes2
  8. Thanks for your reply...I decided to test it with a 44-32 and see what happens. On a side note, I have to tell you Scented, I have lurked here for a while and that darn cat is the cutest thing and I'm not even a cat person. Thanks again!
  9. I ordered this from Lonestar and was planning on making a 8oz jj (4630) for my stepmom but I'm not sure if I should wick up or not. I thought I read a thread about wicking up, but when I searched for f & m nothing came up. Has anyone used this one before? It smells light OOB, but pleasant. TIA for any help!:smiley2:
  10. I just poured Peak's BD cake in 4630 and it smells like the real thing to me. JMO:smiley2:
  11. I don't know if BCN has the Lemon Poundcake like BCS, but that one turned out to be a surprise to me. I absolutely couldn't stand it OOB, but once it was in wax it smelled scrumptious.
  12. That is pretty neat...I guess that was my "something new" that I learned today!:smiley2:
  13. My mom lives in Oregon and before Scentsy hit here in Tx, she bought a bunch and sent them to me. The ones I tried didn't seem to last and my mom hated hers so much that she sent all of the ones she had bought, warmers and all, to me. And let me tell ya, that woman is serious about her candles so for her to hate it says a lot!
  14. Sorry, I'm no help on the suggestions part but I have to say that is simply gorgeous. Good job seems like an understatement!:smiley2:
  15. Hi! Peak's Banana Nut seems to run on the nuttier side imo. Good luck!
  16. I hear ya! My whole house smelled yummy when I poured it. It smells so spot on to the real thing OOB.
  17. Thanks for the response! :smiley2: I have a sampler pack of zincs so I'll try wicking up. I just really love this scent and I don't want to give up on it if there's something else to try.
  18. I am testing Grandma's Swingin' Eggnog in 4630 wax, 8 oz jj, and 44-32 zinc wicks. Today is the first day testing this and I'm getting a decent burn but the ht is soooo faint that I think I singed my nose hairs trying to smell it. I absolutely love the fo smell and I poured 1oz/1lb, but I'm thinking I may have to go up to 1.5. To me, it's just not cost effective to do this with so many other fo's that do great at 6% in this wax. Has anyone else found this to be a light thrower or am I doing something wrong? TIA for your response! Suzanne
  19. I'm not very good at this but: harmony serenity *sigh* Sorry, I'm drawing blanks here...I'm in need of "a day at the spa"!
  20. That is so good to know because I'm thinking of using it as an overpour for chunks made with Peak's birthday cake fo. Just experimenting!
  21. I would have to say Peak's hot cocoa smells like the real thing oob. I haven't put it in wax yet so it may change (hopefully not!) But stay away from BCS chocolate chip cookies. I'm not sure how to describe that one...
