  1. I think that there are many enablers here-thats ok though, no one specific can be blamed for me just ordering more oils just cause i had to get in on the patchouli!!! i really wanted to try the autumn embers though and it was sold out. that means there has to be another order sooner or later!!!

    imagine that!

  2. have to leave everyone know just how well BC took care of my own stupid mistake for me!! i ordered yesterday-super early in the morning- and i guess i was so excited about their sale that i forgot to pick a shipping option. so my invoice shows me the 2nd day air shipping price & i about drop!! well, i got through to them and within about 2 hours, they had it straightened out for me. WAY TO GO BC!! BUT-then i remember i wanted the order held for shipment til Mon. cause of the heat and had to e them again! AND again, they helped me out!! even though i am a dough-block, BC is not!

    WONDERFUL CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!!

  3. And there is a prebuy for Patchouli FO at Moonworks right now.

thanks for the info-but what is the deal with a prebuy? i haven't ever ordered through one before. is it that i pay for the order and wait til it comes in? if that's how they work, maybe the other oils that i'd like to try will be in by then!! the oils there sure sound wonderful and the prebuy is a great deal! thanks-kris

  4. just wondering if any of the SOS patch scents are worthwhile? was thinking of putting in an order and they have three different patch scents, plus i'd like to try their witches brew too. any advice??

  5. know that this is sorta old-but what a hoot!!! think there is one couple missing though (unless i missed them) Richard & Elizabeth. as in burton and taylor? this was just too funny as my brother and i always had "couple" named pets as children. we went through dozens of ill-fated lizards, ducks, turtles, etc. named for all these famous couples! glad i found this-it made my afternoon!

  6. know this is from a while back but i love patchouli scents & don't see the pump-patch on JS anymore. i'd like to try to mix it. any hints before i waste any good patchouli oil? more patch or more pumpkin would you say?? was it spicy or more vanilla-y? i have patchouli FO & EO, a variety of pumpkins (spicy-cakey-vanilla=y & pump/cornbread & pumpkin harvest crunch). any suggestions on a mix ratio??

  7. it does seem as if they are connected with the candlemakers store-the fo names seem to match AND there are no descriptions (like candlemaker). but i did get some samples (A grade though) that i really liked from candlemaker. the pumpkin hollow and weathered crow smell wonderful, warm & spicey oob. also their walnut smells great too and black knight is a great smelling gut type scent. again, have yet to try them in wax, but they certainly smell very promising!!!

  8. EO's are definately not cheap when using them in candles, it just takes too much sometimes to get a good scent throw.

What I do instead is kick up my FO's by adding some EO's for some great blends. :cool2:

i agree!! i use patch EO in all my blends that have patch in them to bump them up. also, i do not use 100 % soy - i use 1/4 cb 135 & 3/4 pariffin for my wax mix since the cb 135 is supposed to work with EO as well as FO. hth-kris

  9. i have several of her fo's - and love most of them! i use j223 (4633 now) and a generic (local) tart wax and here are some that throw great for me.

monkey farts-super strong, no need for any more than 1 oz.

paradise - love this!!! listed as a floral but definately smells oceany

rain - sorta clean & floral, but throws great

lemon biscotti - excellent - throws great using 1 1/4 oz

coconut - throws great, but i use more than 1 oz also makes a great mixer with mango, lime, vanilla, and my new summer favorite, the paradise mentioned above(plus a bit of salty sea air from keystone)

rosewood and cedar - great throw in tarts

sea glass (limited supply scent) - smells good, ok throw

she also had a discontinued scent called Old Front Porch, which is awesome!! if it pops up again i will definately get more, sorta fresh, but manly and clean too

so-cal - a hollister dupe-smells awesome oob, but not much throw in candles or tarts. might work for B & B though. wish it did cause it smells great

pomegranite - not so swift, i smell a vanilla in this

cashmere - smells really strong oob, but very very soapy-i won't use it

i have more that smell great oob, but haven't used yet. her shipping is fast and since her prices are so good, when she has a sale i go crazy!

have fun trying them out - kris

  10. somehow i missed this topic-or i would not have ordered from them. however, everything worked out for me. i ordered a case of j223 or 4633 now, for their sale price at 4:00 pm monday and recieved it early afternoon that friday. didn't think that was too bad since i am in central pa. i did not order any fo's, but the total price for the wax, including shipping, was only 1 dollar more than the lowest advertised price from any supplier i saw online. now i am super relieved that i got it.
