  2. sorry...wish I could help you, but I've never heard of shrink wrapping a candle jar.
  3. I used the cheapo cooking thermometers for many years. Spent the money on a laser thermometer last year and can't believe I didn't do it sooner. Point, shoot, instant/accurate temp reading...yeeehaaah
  4. No problem here either. DH has learned the hard way though not to put his pretzels or cookies on the pouring counter, even for a second...bleck! they taste like FO real fast. He also has to keep his hunting clothes offsite....he learned that the first year of soap/candlemaking...lol....wasn't too happy. No venison that year for us...lol.
  5. Thanks everyone. I looked at Woodland earlier, but was looking so quickly that I must have missed it. Found it!
  6. Need your help....I have searched the internet for what seems forever. Looking for a portable/collapsible cash register stand. Nothing fancy, just something to use at craft shows. I know I have seen them before, I think it was unfinished wood, but can't find them now. Anyone have any ideas for supplier on this? Thanks in advance.
  7. definitely Presto, but watch out....the Presto pots at Wal-Mart are smaller than the older ones. Found that out the hard way after buying 3 news ones.
  8. nice ideas ladies! Perfect timing too, as I am just starting to play around with tart-making and found that it can be a little messy. This pot w/ pouring spout should be great for little tart batches....much better than what I have been doing.
  9. ok, thanks for the info Kiger24. Makes me feel better about placing the order with KY. I still want to do a comparison since I've never done tarts before...just lots of candles.
  10. great... I was just about to order the tart wax from them, and some from The Candle Source to compare them, as I just decided to start making tarts. Guess I'll hold off for now.
  11. I did a test pour of it and it was just 'ok', but smelled more like unbuttered popcorm to me than kettle corn. I had a tester that really liked it, but he also agreed that it wasn't quite kettle corn. Thinking of maybe adding a titch of caramel to it.
  12. Just 415 and a tiny bit of beeswax.
  13. Ravens - yep, me too. Some I don't have to wait that long, but Twilight Woods (WSP)...it was pure torture waiting to burn it. Let us know how it turns out.
  14. I just checked my last invoice from them in February of this year. It was not reflected in the shopping cart when I checked out, nor in the Paypal payment request. I submitted a question to them about the $1.00 per pound and the 2% shopping cart discount. Never got a response and no discounts were ever reflected in the final bill...so, I'm guessing the answer is No. Hope this helps.
  15. [quote=Mayren;855136I hear that one of the biggest orders they had was a qty of 377 or something like that. Holy smack! ok, now I don't feel so bad about my quantity...lol
  16. yes, the scent event is definitely worth the shopping cart hassle! Can't wait to get the package!
  17. Ravens - I use the Twilight Woods from WSP in 415, and it throws great. I let it cure 2 weeks before doing the test burn though.
  18. yeah, their shopping cart does dump items if there is a period of inactivity of adding items to the cart, found this out the hard way when I first started ordering from them. You have to figure out what you want first, then add items quickly.
  19. I'm not telling how many I ordered, it is almost embarrasingly too much.:tiptoe:
  20. Like everyone else, I need more scents like I need a hole in my head, but of course I went in on the <price removed by moderator. Refrain from posting specifics of a sale in the future>. I ordered one of all the new FO's, and a 'few' more I've been wanting to try.....ok a lot more than a 'few'.
