Just got this info in an email and i'm thrilled!!!!!! USPS now has a flat rate box price for anywhere in Canada for any weight for $21.85 if it's printed online ($23 at PO)

That's why shipping from Canada is always so expensive. They always use the weight x dimensions to get a shipping cost, never by just weight alone. I wish there was a flat rate between Canada and the US...life would be so much simpler!!

I had a sample of the KY one and if I remember right it was a golden color...definitely not clear.

Wouldn't the ivory soap affect the burn of the candle?

I agree...5 or 10lbs is great! Most of the suppliers I checked out required 25 - 40lb purchases. And then there's IFT but that's a whole different story :undecided

Daystar is the only one I know of that carries that waffle fragrance too...it's in their dessert collection.

What type of supplies are you looking for? If it's fragrance oils you're looking for, there is a sticky posted with a list of the manufacturers in it. Other than that, we'd need to know what it is you're looking for and go from there....

With so many well known suppliers going out of business recently...I think i'd really think this through before venturing a whole bunch of money in to it. SoapnCandles, BNL, Wick your Wax, Scents for Soy, Longwycks, Snowtop, Jade Green Beans, Serendipities, and i'm sure i'm forgetting a few but those are just off the top of my head. I know they all stated other reasons for getting out of the business but if the money were there and plentiful...i'm sure they'd still be around. The smart thing to do would be to build up a clientele first, either through monthly group buys (helps build up your stock as well) or even ebay or etsy. Kathy from ICS originally started on Ebay and once she build up a steady flow of clients...opened her own website and the rest is history. I think i'd try dipping a toe in the water before taking a full dive....you definitely don't want to be taking a belly flop anytime soon!

LOL I was just thinking....maybe some dumb *ss postmaster thought it was real butter!!! (oleomargarine is an actual food product...oleo = shortening and used for cooking) I do know they have restrictions about shipping food items here!

I've gotten Shea shipped here from the US within the last month...and got in on a Shea butter coop without a problem. Good gawd...what ARE we gonna be able to get shipped here? This is getting totally ridiculous...it's not like we're a third world country...we're suppose to be neighbors!!

I've seen a few different packaging set ups for the reed diffusers and I wanted to jump on the bandwagon and offer them. I really like the ones from southern scentsations (the tall skinny ones that are the same height as the reeds). Does anyone know who the manufacturer for these is? Partylite is selling these for 50.00 a set...I KNOW I can do much better than that lol.

I agree...it's a great deal and you are so right about sky shipping to Canada. I am so jealous that you have the flat rate option there...i'd be in heaven if we had something like that.
