  1. Welcome!!! You will find a lot of information on here. I have been making candles off and on for a couple of years but feel that I am still a newbie because I haven't been constantly pouring. I have also not found my favorite wax yet either. This is my favorite board that I have come across very helpful people on here.

  2. update on ECo wicks. I have tested the Eco-12's in two FO's in the 6006 in the 8 oz square mason. I only got to burn them twice because it was towards the end of the jar and so the wicks fell over on the 2nd burn but I will be testing again with the Eco-12's anchored down because those two burns I actually got a FMP!!! Yipppeeee!!! I am just excited that I got a wick to work. I will do a formal post with the reviews when I make another official test candle.

  3. I agree about the richness of this scent. The library in the mansion sounds good. It really is a lovely and unique scent. I usually do not like these kind of scents but I really loved this one. Awesome thrower without being headache strong but boy does it creep out in the house everywhere. You have to try it. I just ordered a few more scents and got them yesterday and will post as soon as I get a chance to pour. Her leather is right on too.

  4. I tested the Maduro in their Perfect Blend wax. I used 9% which I didn't mean too. It was a 4 oz jj with HTP-93 and this baby scented my master bath, bedroom and was creeping out the doorway of my master bedroom. These are decent sized rooms too. I think I could get away with cutting down a bit but it wasn't headache strong just crept everywhere which is a good thing. I also tested Coconut Banana Cream Pie from Wix-N-Wax in Greenleaf Perfect Blend at 9% and it was awesome too.

I have more FO's and another slab of wax ordered and can't wait to try more.

  5. Come on now, I know a bunch requested samples of the wax and Fo's. Where are all the reviews. I just orderd a few more fo's and some more of the wax and will post more reviews after I burn them. I would loke(should be love not loke, sorry) to see some of the reviews from the free samples people got, including the % of FO and which wax. I know a few posted but I know there is more. :cheesy2:

  6. I used another supplier’s FO in a 12 oz salsa jar with 1 oz of fragrance. I used Country Berry Hotcakes from BCN. I first started with an Eco-14, then I went down to an Eco-12 and I think I could go down to an Eco 10. I am going to try that next. 14 was way too big. So far the scent throw hot and cold are fabulous. I may try going up just a bit to 1.25 oz to see if I can get a stronger throw with this one because I don’t think Country Berry Hotcakes can be too strong, (love this scent). But with 1 ounce it is doing very well. It feels the front office up. The 12 oz salsa is about 3-1/8th to 3-1/4th inches across in diameter. So far so good on the testing of the wax. I need to order me a slab to keep testing. This wax has been very easy to wick so far. Been testing the 6006 and love the scent throw just can’t seem to get the wicking down.

  7. I am with you on the wick problem. I am testing this wax also. I love the scent throw just can't get the darn wicks right. I have had success with two FO's so far with a HTP 105 getting a full melt pool in an 8 oz round jar from Wick's Wares but one sooted pretty bad, the other one has minimal soot. I have all kinds of wicks here to test, just can't seem to get it right though.

  8. Here is a photo 'cane that I made. First one. Not actually hurricane wax. Just wanted to see if I could get the picture embedded. There was a little too much wax in between but for my first try I think it came out decent. Little crooked but oh well. I need to order my hurricane wax and hurricane mold and then really start practicing. The picture was grainy on my computer, don't know if it is going to come out good or not on the post.
