  1. I finally decided to buy 3 Celestial Kits! I got the Primary, Brilliants, and Harvest! In Dec I'm getting the Neons, Spring, and Sedona. Can't wait to Play over the weekend!

Fun! I use all the ones I got but mostly I use the neons. They are just so bright and fun to play with!

  2. Hi,

yeah the last batch I did I used cream of tartar and I don't know what I did but it was gritty and rock hard. I would have to look back at the recipe that I tried.

I am going to keep testing. Next I do want to try the recipe above and add in cream of tartar to see what it does.

  3. I just ordered some ouncers as well:

All Hallow's Eve, Christmas traditions, country road, hibiscus flower, island pineapple, stress relief, vanilla bean, vanilla extract, honey orange, and orange grove

Hi... how was the vanilla from this company? I am in search of a really good one.

  4. I made a batch last night that was baking soda, SLSA, kaolin clay and corn starch. I am at work but I believe the proportions were 1 c of both soda and SLSA and 1/4 c. of Clay and starch. Mixed with FO and glycerin till it is like play dough.

In the past my mixtures felt almost gritty. or it would harden up to a brick and not bubble well.

This one was nice and smooth and I am hoping this comes out well. It bubbled well last night but i totally have to cure it. it was getting firm this morning but still had a bit of a soft touch to it.

I used pink sugar FO and colored it pink. It is now pink with brown spots, but I expected that cause of the pink sugar.

is there a rule of thumb for the FO? like with CP it is 1%

  5. I was going to order the daystar but they were really expensive. It is a treat for just him so I could justify it, but I wanted to check with you all. I will probably order it and also try the NG also.

I seriously have like 100 fragrances at this point and he loooooooves the Lush one. :\

  6. hi... I agree with all that has been stated.

I have only done one farmers market, but for several weeks in a row. Just get out there and see what happens. To get yourself started for labels and stuff you can get easy to print stuff at staples if that is what you want to do. I told lots of friends and family that I was going to be at the market. But I did not try and sell to them directly. As for work I work in IT and none of the men are interested in my product so I didn't even bother.. LOL Of those people I told that wanted to come and check me out did and did purchase product. The bulk of my sales were from strangers.

The best sale I had was when a woman purchased one item and then came back and got 50 dollars worth of stuff the next week. So flattering!

Your doing the right thing by setting a goal. Don't hesitate on signing up for one early spring. It makes you get organized and work on labels, packaging and having stock product.

    GOOD LUCK!!
