Can you post a picture? I use a 30ply in my 3" dia pillars using 1343. I don't think you need a smaller wick. I think the wax is just melting and that is why the purple fingers Bulge? Where is this at?

Mandarin Plum scent, and forgot to add it is 1343 with 1/2 teas Vybar 103 pp

I made this one for my office at work. I poured a few ounces into room temp mold, tipped the mold several times so the wax would cover the inside of mold, let it sit for a minute or so then filled the mold pouring slowly. The pouring temp was around 140. The directions are off Peak Candle Supply site under instructions. I didn't do a cold water bath tho.

I started out with an mp123, couldn't get it anymore so then tested J223 and J300. J300 worked out best for me. -
For me it is the 8oz square mason then the 13oz status. I think the smaller containers are popular because of the price because they can get a couple different scents. I have a few people who want the biggest I can make.

I don't put wicks in my firestarters because I am so afraid someone will light it sitting on their mantel or grandmas 100+ year table Your firestarters look better than mine! Mine always end up red because I use just scrap wax etc., and once all the scraps melted together it would be a strange color so I would add red color.
