Thanks for the food for thought Conefan80
You are right about the quality difference of the laser printer vs. inkjet.
It has always bothered me that the inkjet lays the inks on top of the paper but a laser printer infuses them in.
You can actually scratch off the ink on the ( inkjet labels)
I haven't done enough homework research on the lasers yet.
Brand?
Model ?
replacement cartridge cost ?
I too was going to keep my deskjet for odd paper printing if I can find
a laser printer.
I need to decide though my blank label stock is getting low and I will need to place a order soon.
With your laser printer can you print off 5 sheets of labels at a time and not
worry about them starting off the page wrong. With the deskjet I always have to watch and check each sheet as it starts to make sure it is printing ok.
Cleaning the rolls helps too.
What brand did you research on ?

I do apologize for the miscommunications with Krystal and I understand where you are coming from. I had a long talk with Krystal about the situation and she somehow thought there was something different going on than you just returning the melters. A simple situation got very complicated and I'm sorry that she did not handle the situation in a matter that was satisfactory to you. She had somehow thought that you used the melters and then wanted to return them and that's where the 15% came into play. You should see the full refund post to your card and we did not charge you a restocking fee.
Believe it or not we have people who return melters to us that they never purchased from us or ones that they've used for 2 years etc. so unfortunately it obviously gave us a bad attitude with the way we handled your situation. I am truly sorry for that and the entire staff is instructed to go home, have a glass of wine and return on Monday with a better attitude! LOL
The message board somehow escalated into people thinking that we were charging $15.00 per box for everything that UPS damages and other stuff that wasn't true also and I just wanted to get it resolved as quickly as possible. I'm trying to resolve all of the problems and improve in the future too.
Thanks again and have a great weekend!
Cindy

Hi Top
Glad to see you rode this puppy out LOL
Looks like both sides of this situation was stressed.
WOW I have learnt a lot from this thread.
Just goes to show you that there are a lot of suppliers that
scan the message boards to watch how their business is rating.
The most I have learnt is how important communication skills are !!!
Glad things have calmed down for you all
Forget the wine I would go for the hard stuff LOL

Thanks guys for your help !! :highfive:
I think I will contact my label supplier and see if they can
tell me anymore details to making scratch & scent labels.
It would be really cool if we could use this method on our
brochures,
If I find good news I will let you know

I was just brainstorming here
Has anyone ever made a Scratch and Sniff samples of your fragrances?
Is there a certain type of paper to use?
YK has a scratch and sniff in their catalog when they are introducing a new scent. It seemed to be on the same paper as the rest of the catalog.
Is it just as simple as adding the FO with a brush to the labels or paper.
Sounds like a fun way to add to my advertising.

Thanks Bizzy,
That explains it because I know I have refilled this color cartridge much more than twice. :Doops
-
Yes I have been using a refill kit for my ink cartridges
I am getting them at Wal-mart.
I have used them a lot .
So I am thinking the sponge inside the cartridge is wore out LOL
I am getting to the point I need to be able to print at higher quanities and
not have to keep watching each page to be sure it is turning out right
I would love to be able to walk away and let 50 sheets print without worring about them. ( EVEN 10 sheets ) I would be HAPPY LOL
Thanks for your thoughts !

I am using a HP Deskjet 3650 and to tell you the truth
I am not sure how old it is it was given to me hardly used.
It has been working fine for me but here lately it seems I am spending to much time convincing:waiting: it to work right LOL
I probably need to purchase a new cartridge.
Maybe the one I have has just been refill to many times.
I will still be looking at the laser printers though LOL
Thanks for your replies
Just blew my top a bit LOL

Would you believe I have spent most of the day jacking with this
HP inkjet printer I have had it !
I would be choking this thing if I could.
Its the darn ink cartridges even after a refill ( not consistant)
I am ready to go find a laser printer.
Money who cares this is taking up my time so bad.
Poor thing I guess I have over worked the darn thing
Which Laser printer should I go check out
Thanks

Golden Soy Blend 444
Golden Soy Blend 444.
This wax is a mixture of soy and other natural vegetable oils creating a smoother candle with less frosting designed for containers. Golden Soy Blend 444 is a one pour wax with great adhesion, great scent throw and easy clean-up.
Fragrance load is a whopping 15%!
Wow anyone tested this wax? I can't believe the fo load.
This wax is sold at Milcrk.

I checked with two of our local print shops.
They wanted $1.40 per sheet and that was with me
bringing in ready art work saved on a CD as a JPEG image.
This may not sound bad to you but when I had several
different size and style labels to print I just decided to
print them myself on my inkjet.
Good Luck
-
Hi Guys,
About this pallet info.
Do you get a great price break for the wax?
I currently get a price break on the wax if I order over 200 lbs.
So a pallet would have to be even better ? :rolleyes2

Hi, is there a model number or anything for these presto pots, i bet walmart have so many of this type of thing i dont want to end up getting the wrong one.
Also are they very heavy? As i am from the UK but going on holiday to Florida in the summer and am planning on bringing one of these home with me if i can as i am sick of using a double boiler and one of these sounds so much easier.
It just a matter of how heavy and how big it is, if it not very big? i could get away with brigging it home as hand luggage, If not and i have to check it in as hold luggage, would they easily break in the hold of the plane or are they fairly robust?
Thankyou

Lotions

Lipstick (beeswax)
I was looking for more of the herbal organic types of bases.
Anyone else into Herbs and such.:rolleyes2

I think I will run to my local Wal-mart and see if I can get one.
I have one already.
I don't have a pouring spot on it.
Been placing my pouring pitcher in it with a boiling ring on the bottom.
This is the way I melt wax for tarts.

Conefan80,
You have no idea how your information has helped me.
Thanks so much for taking the time to share.
I have been purchasing my labels from
http://www.onlinelabels.com/default.htm
They have labels for laser printer too.
I was thinking the laser labels could handle the uv lights in a store better.
Have you found that this to be right?
I was hoping the white wouldn't yellow
so quickly
