  1. We are starting to have a bit of fun at shows where Scentsy is (which has been EVERY show for us this season.) At first we were intimidated and perturbed because we were placed right next to the Scentsy person. We then had the pleasure of having her watch us outsell her LOL! The best though was last night. We had a customer come back and whisper to my husband that a Scentsy person tried to sell her some melts but she told her she had already bought some that were handmade AND cost less. The woman came unglued demanding to know exactly where she had gotten them LOL. Scared the woman away. We laughed over that the rest of the night. I like the ea of a sign and am going to get one ready for our next show on Thursday. Thanks for that idea!
  2. Oh wow, if that rolled out of my purse I would hurt myself snatching it up so fast to open it up and PROVE it was perfume! ROFL!!! Thanks for the giggle! Take care, Kellye
  3. Hmmm, that's strange. I have Office 2007 and was able to insert onto Word 2007 and then send it to the Back so I could write on the front whatever I needed to. I'm sorry to hear it didn't work out for you. Good luck with finding the right size labels! I am still struggling with that! Who would think that something so dang small could cause so much grief LOL!!!!! Take care, Kellye
  4. First you need to save the PowerPoint logo as a picture file. So pull up your file, click Save As Type and select JPEG for a .jpg file or TIFF for a .tif file. Then you will have your logo. Once you get to your labels you can now click on Insert/Picture/From File/ Then find your logo picture file you just saved and insert it. You may need to resize to get it to fit the labels but then you should be good to go. HTH!!! Kellye
  5. How can we compete? Easy, we DON'T!!! Having bought my share of Wal-Mart (and elsewhere) candles because they smelled oh-so-good in the jar only to be majorly disappointed when I brought it home, lit it and could barely smell it I know the frustration of spending hard earned money on something that doesn't deliver what it promises. One day my mom brought home a handmade candle in Pomegranate, lit it and it scented the entire house. I have been a junky ever since even though we are just now getting into making our own. If their melts are the same quality as their candles you don't have a thing to worry about. If your customers are true candle lovers then chances are good they have already had many disappointing moments such as the one I described above and know that handmade is the way to go. Also, you get what you pay for. If people want to buy CHEAP Wal-Mart melts then they are going to get CHEAP Wal-Mart melts. OTOH, if people want quality melts that will scent their home beautifully in a variety of scents, then they are going to ask around and find one of us. They will pay more but the results will be worth it. HTH, Kellye
  6. I think you better get ready as those are going to fly off the shelves!!! Great job! Kellye
  7. Oh I bet it is going to smell fantastic then!!!!! When you decide what you are going to ask for it let us know. Thanks! Kellye

  10. As another TX gal, I ADORE the star lids!!! We use Cajun quite a bit too. We are actually driving over there tomorrow to pick up an order. That cake looks so real!!! I don't see how in the world you all (oh heck, I am Texan so Y'ALL) make those incredibly real to life creations! You are quite the artist! Take care, Kellye
  11. Yep, right here!!!! I love pink so you won my heart right away. That and the fact that we are still working with containers only and wouldn't DARE do pillars. You did great work. Of course, if you really really hate them I know a certain newbie in Houston who could take them off your hands LOL!!! Take care, Kellye
  12. We just got through pouring some Halloween glasses with Candy Corn but I LOVE yours!!! Those labels are precious with the big pieces of candy and the spiders just set it off! Are you going to be selling at any pre-Halloween festivals, craft shows or somewhere that you can display your creations? They would be a HUGE hit! Take care, Kellye
  13. I also think the candle is very pretty and hope that you get what you want for it. I am still new to all of this but have heard numerous times for pricing exactly what the other members are saying, to figure out your costs and multiply by three. Are each of the colored layers a different scent or are they they same scent in 3 different colors? Good luck!!! Kellye
