I do. Love their oils! I started using them as they carried dupes of Moonworks oils when they closed. Their quality is really good.
I use:
Merlin's Forest
Forest Nymph
Sea Witch
Cinnamon Sugared Donuts
Pumpkin Spiced Cheesecake
Honey Clementine
Fall Festival
Goddess
Lavender Sage
Dragon's Blood
Sun and Earth

Yes thier products are good quality. Some dupes spot on, others not. Just about like every other company, just have to try them. But I would recommend thier products overall.
Note, I put in a compliant to thier company a few months back about the lack of scent descriptions. Since then, they have added some descriptions. Guess not on these. I did tell them how frustrating is was on our side.
Awesome! I know they say scent is subjective and everyone discerns fragrances differently and blah, blah. But throw us a bone here! It's very frustrating indeed!
And yes, their products are good quality and they have great FOs, but I've been most disappointed with their dupes. Most that I've smelled aren't even close!

TT, Is the Black Vetyver Cafe the same as the Dark Espresso Vetiver from TSW?

I'll do a lb each of sweet amber, Egyptian dragon, inlet lakegrass and provence. If you do start doing smaller sizes, I'd be interested in the pink sugar.

Mahogany Spice is a great fragrance! It's the primary component of my Sherlock Holmes inspired blend, "Baker Street". It's lovely on it's own, but I tinkered with it a bit. I can't leave anything alone.

I never purchased anything from
Moonworks. So they went through something similar ? Who bought
their FO's ?
Moonworks owner, Rhonda, was just notorious for up and closing her business. Then re-opening. Then re-closing.
FragranceBuddy has most of her fragrances and I know Pure Fragrance was carrying some.

I've ordered samples from various websites trying to determine if there is a quality issue. There are various sites that offer free samples but with just the cost of shipping (1 oz of product for $4.95 shipping cost). I have samples from 3 different companies and will be experimenting with them to see if there is a quality issue.
But I do want to add: I've had constant pain in my hands for a long time(maybe onset of arthritis == from 40yrs of high speed data entry on keyboard and calculator) When I got my 1st sample, I started using it orally (10 drops under the tongue twice daily) and I have not have ANY pain in my hands since starting it. I've had pains in various other areas and rubbed a drop or 2 of the oil into the area with almost instant relief.
I also whipped up a batch of lotion: 16 oz batch with coconut oil, emu oil and cannabinol oil. I use that as needed - also gave some samples to friends with muscle/joint pain and it did stop their various pains. A couple of my testers are hesitate to use it because they are routinely drug tested and concerned that it might make them test "dirty" which is a legitimate concern.
I keep getting emails from various companies offering me free samples for shipping cost only and I take advantage of every one of them. I order the free samples in my name, my son's and husbands name.........sneaky b&tch that I am.... :-)
One side effect that I have noticed: about 1/2 hrs after using the oil under the tongue, I get the munchies. One website stated that the CBD oil could cause an increase in appetite ---------- yeah, say it like it is..............the munchies....lol.
I'd say that if you research the various websites and take advantage of the ''free samples'' you aren't out much in the way of $ -- $4.95 for a 1 oz sample will make a 16 oz batch of lotion.
Pam, the company I've been considering in called Highland Pharms. I've not seen any "free samples" offered on the sites I've been to this far, but I'll definitely keep my eyes open for them. I have RA that is controlled with injections, but I don't like to take them as directed due to side effects. I also have another kind of rheumatism that I take anti inflammatories and steroids for, but again, don't want the stomach issues etc that come with those.

Moonstar, there are special strains of cannabis oil for seizure disorders and they aren't ones you can buy online. They are the stronger strains that are only legal in Colorado etc.

I know Lone Star just debuted a Pumpkin Seeds and Oud Wood scent. I don't see anything glaringly original here, but their site is nice.

I have always had to wick up on apple ciders to get any decent burn or throw.
Me too. If it has even a hint of cinnamon or spiciness to it, I've got to wick up.

This doesn't answer your questions, Pam, but I'm curious what brand of CBD are you using? I've researched them quite a bit and found there is varying quality among them.

I take the leftovers from testing; remelt & pour into a large hurricane type container. Over time the layers build up and then I take a wire and push down into the wax to make room for a wick - (insert a wick(s) appropriate for your container)hit it with a heat gun to level the tops. These I burn for personal use.........really hate wasting all that wax and FO.
That is a great idea!

I set my test candles on a candle warmer until I can't smell the fragrance any more, then I pour all my "scrap" wax in a big can. That big can of wax will get used for firestarters.

Let us know how the Honey Lavender Gelato is. Sounds very interesting. Anyone tried Lavender Coconut milk - I think thats what its called. BA + JS carries that one
I have the coconut milk and lavender from JS. To me, it smells just like the the Vanilla Lavender from NG, which is lovely.

Sounds interesting . How long are you talking about ? I need to order some candle dye from them, any other suggestions ? I read the vanilla cardamom
is really good, have you tried that one ?
I had to cure them a month to get the throw I was looking for. It is a softer scent to be sure, but I don't have to cure any scent for a MONTH to get optimum results.
I've not tried the vanilla cardamom, but that does sound good! Some of my usual ones are: Nordic Spa, Cowboy, Sea Petals, Twilight Woods, Mahogany Woods and Windswept Waves. I have some others that I haven't put in wax, yet.

Lonestar has some great oils. Their Egyptian Sheets is a best seller for me in candles and room sprays. It took a longer than usual cure in my parasoy, but it's worth it.

4625 is very hard. I've done the garbage bag and drop method and the screwdriver and hammer method to break the wax up. Like others have mentioned, I measure my wax into the melter 50% 464 and 50% 4625 (or 4630), then stir it well with a whisk before dispensing into my pour pot. It's just part of my process now, so I don't register it as quite such a pain.

Trappeur, my blend for tarts is 50/50 464 and 4625. My blend for containers is 50/50 464 and 4630. I had so many issues testing 100% soy. I work full time and, frankly, didn't have the time it was taking to fiddle with those issues to make a candle I was happy with. Adding the paraffin helped tremendously with achieving consistent, shorter curing, good throwing, nice looking candles.

I've used the coffee grounds/cinnamon before on tin can candles to make them look rusty/primitive. I've never thought of salt. It's so humid here, I'd be worried it would attract moisture.

lordy that business changes models quicker than Versacci.
Wht i discovered the hard way is she changes formulas on a whim. Check flashpoints on labels and see which have changed. The one that stood out to me was egyptian dragon. not even close to the same from one order to the next.
Check with Fragrance Laboratories. Cindy Gooding bought the original codes and seems to be pretty easy to deal with.
Thanks, TT. Is there more to that company name? Fragrance Laboratories pulls up a lot of different specific named companies.
Edited to add: I found it!

On a whim, I went to Soapalooza's page and it looks like they are still selling FOs. I know Kelly was changing her business model to where she was only going to do wholesale/large orders, but the page looks like you can order smaller amounts again. Does anyone know if this is the case? I've used a number of her oils since she was Southern Soapers and stocked up when she "closed" awhile back. But if I could get Inishmoor direct from the source, that would be great!

Thank you! My photos were taken by a friend with a nice camera and photography experience. We shot them in my apartment in front of patio door for natural lighting. I have self-taught photo editing experience so I cropped and edited them myself using Paint Shop Pro (cheaper alternative to photoshop).
Thanks to everyone for the advice! Now I am trying to figure out the best way to transition to more original products without totally losing my current customer base... It's a shame because I really enjoy making these items because I am passionate about my love of the original work. I pick out each fragrance to individually match the house traits associated with it, created the labels myself and everything. But I understand now that it is still an issue and liability even if hundreds of others are also infringing on copyright. I have a lot of ideas in mind but it will still be sad for me to say goodbye to these products.
Many of us here do items that are inspired by things we love, but we've given them original names. For instance, I have a Red Witch soap that is GoT inspired and a soap called Baker Street that is Sherlock inspired. Back in the day I had Twilight inspired products. The names gave recognition, but I never used any trademarked/copyrighted images, logos or graphics.
I saw a local chandler ignore advice to stop selling candles with college football logos and NASCAR logos/driver likenesses on them. She thought she would be fine because she "wasn't that big a company". She wound up losing her candle company and a lot more.

I've been eyeing the Coconut Milk and Lavender and it sounds really beautiful. Has anyone ever tried this?
Trappeur
It's nice, but soft and light smelling. It won't be blowing any doors off. JS FOs are iffy for me. I use parasoy.
Is it time yet to co-op any of my dupes?
