Welcome!
Candle making definitely has a learning curve. But as long as you’re willing to do the work, it can be rewarding. Tons of info here to help you.

They have the best Classic Lavender and Oatmeal, Milk & Honey FOs ever. I have never found any that compare and I have tried a lot.
They do have some great FOs. They were originally Tony's/Southern Garden Scents and are now Pure Fragrance Oils. Since they are on the west coast now I rarely order from them. I still order their Fresh Waterfall as it is one of the best clean water scents I have ever found and is a component for a water scent blend I make.
Another one I still buy is their Burberry for Men. I love this scent and use it in a men's soap I make.
Their Patchouli Passion is good also. Its a Moonworks original. They also carry several other Moonworks FOs that are really good. I would not hesitate to try out any of their oils.
I have always been curious about their Green Cactus scent but never got around to trying it. Always on the lookout for a fresh clean spa green scent that is unique and that may fit the bill.
I really loved Southern Garden Scents! I had no idea they were now Pure Fragrance oils! I have looked at their oils before because they had MW dupes, but have never bought anything. *Off to take another look*

The supplier is included in the title of the thread.

I just saw the big header “Sweet Strawberry”. I see now it’s Flaming.

I agree with @MilosCandles. Every email like this I’ve received has been suspect. I don’t have a website anymore, but when I did, it was very “small potatoes”, the idea that some store in Asia wanted to carry my items set off alarm bells big time. Emails like this (which I still receive from time to time without an internet presence) go straight in the trash.

Can you all tell me how chandlers do all soy wax melts when soy is so dang soft? I use a coconut & soy blend and they would never pop out of the clamshell ... it's more like use a butter knife and dig it out ... sorry ... off topic 🙄
You would do a blend of container soy and pillar soy.

I love Safiya's videos. Have y'all seen the one where she melted down one of all the lipsticks that Sephora had? I'm not a huge fan of YouTube personalities, but if I had to watch one, it would be her.

Welcome! There is a wealth of information here and lots of helpful folks.

Thanks, @Faerywren! Google has let me to plastic condiment like cups - hopefully those are the ones you are referring to. Good idea for future bars.
Yep, those are the ones. I have round and elliptical in varying ounces, so I can make different shapes and sizes.

When I packaged my bars in tins I've set them on wax paper before. Now I pour directly into souffle cups. Voila! Molds and packaging in one.

You could also use a "low sweat" M&P base. That's what I switched to. I didn't like using the plastic wrap or shrink wrap or bags either. The low sweat bases work really well and I can package in a box or with a band.

Thanks for the ideas everyone
Now a second part to the question. What do you do with the scents you don't like? Do you just toss them? I wish I had some candle/soap makers near me. I have sooo many things I would like to get rid of. Like about half of the 1oz samples I have LOL.
My goal has always been to make an Excel sheet to keep track of the ones I definitely didn't like, so I could just get rid of them. That still hasn't happened LOL.
If I don't like something on its own, I may be able to use it in a "limited time" blend. If it's just a straight up dud, it gets pitched. I don't want to keep moving it around or forgetting that it sucked, so I just get rid of it.

Is FC Flaming?

Artfire. Wow, I didn't realize that was still a thing. I wonder if my store is still there after sitting idle for 13 years? 😂

I like the idea of a drop down menu for scents, but I'd like the scents separated by category. I don't want to scroll through evvvveeeerrryyy scent when I know I want something bakery or masculine etc.

Lol this reminds me of several years ago I was talking to a lady in a coupon group online. We were messaging back and forth and she told me you know there's a secret to making a lot of money. I was curious so I asked her how. She said she sells dirty socks on eBay lol I was blown away and said what are you talking about. she said if you wear socks and get them dirty and stinky and sweaty people will buy them for extra curricular activities. I told her no way that is disgusting and I refuse to make money like that. but I was curious so I looked it up and she is not joking you can make a lot of money doing that. I don't know if it's still allowed on eBay this was about 5 or 6 years ago. But to me it's very immoral to do that.
I know people sell panties they've worn online. The take a picture of them wearing the panties and then state how many hours they were worn. People are paying big bucks.

Are warming oils simply our fragrance oils?

Straight FO will smoke and get gummy in a warmer. The FOs are mixed with DPG to prevent that.

Mediterranean Fig from CandleScience is nice. Fig Leaf and Cassis from WSP was a big seller for me (men really liked it), but now they only offer it special order of 25lbs. 😞

Pardon my ignorance, but why is there a beer graphic on your candle banner?

That KY133 is amazing! It was my favorite for many years until I started blending my own.

I order from them. They are about an hour and a half drive, so I just go pick my orders up. My biggest sellers from them are Spa Day, Lux Linen and Tangerine Dreams. I have others of theirs (Coffee Shop, Driftwood, Barnwood and Burlap), but use them as mixers in blends, so don't know how they stand alone.

I totally got the seaweed. Looks great!

@Marleigha I finally got around to smelling my Pumpkin Spiced Cheesecake FO and it isn't really creamy at all. I get a lot of graham cracker crust and spices when I sniff it!

Cracklin' Birch is one of my best sellers, which surprised me.
