I use the Pink Sugar Cookie...cant keep it. I have renamed after my MIL but still it is a great scent. It sells like hot cakes for me. But it is not bowl ya over in your face strong, but it is a nice strong scent and to me, a good long lasting scent.

So are you willing to share where this bubbling base can be found?

The red hot cinn I use smells just like the candy. I also get it from JBN...they have a great one! This is a good combo....promise!

i use just by nature leather....best one I have found. And I also do the cinn and leather and call it red hot cowboy....sell it like crazy. mix it at 50/50. Both of mine...cowgirls n pearls and my red hot cowboy are top sellers for me. Lots curl their nose up when I tell them what is in it, then they melt or burn them and are pretty surprised at how well good they really smell! Give it a shot....bet you love it too!

Does anyone have a very simple sugar scrub recipe that they can share with a newbie, having never made them before. Not new to candles at all but to soaps and scrubs I am. Would like one that moisturizes and does not have a ton of ingrediants, because I am not sure where to buy everything just yet. Not sure of the best of the bath and body suppliers. Thanks so much to anyone that feels like sharing~

As I stated, we all have our own opinions, and the above is mine. As you obviously have yours...your entitled so am I. And maybe some are not being "mean" but they damn sure are snippy as hell when you do not agree with them, and it is not just this topic but many others on here. And no one is denying you your views or opinions, I think everyone should be able to post their views and opinions with out being called out. And I am very aware that I do not have to read any topic that bothers me, I appreciate you letting me know that.

I think this topic has gotten out of hand and it seems like when someone disagree's with the majority they are called out and that is sad! I totally understand what sassy is saying as I do the majority of you. If it works for her great, and if it does not work for all of you then no harm no foul. But why keep it going and going and going. If you want to buy from Mr. Missy, then do it, if not then dont. But why must these topics get so snippy and mean??? Why must you call out and make snide remarks about who disagree's with you. This board is suppose to be about sharing information, chatting, and learning about the crafts we love so much. Not for fighting and arguing amoung each other. If we disagree, big freakin deal, not going to agree on everything all the time. The one thing I do agree with sassy on is that a mod will step in and delete something that mentions a sale, but will not step in and lock a thread that starts getting out of hand. That makes no sense to me. It is obvious that there is not much else that can be said about Mr. Missy's or who on here that will not buy from them again. I think it is time to let this go...geez!

Well I got in on the sample sale and ordered 4 of the VBN from TN and all I can say is WOWZER!!!! That stuff is totally awesome smelling. And it seems that can be blended with just about anything. I am extremely impressed and have now ordered a few pounds of it, and also ordered the ulitmate vanilla from JS and a few others, they were equally as good to me. So looks like I have 2 more vendors to add to my list for oils...LOL Like I needed more to add to my fo addiction~

UM NO!!!! I have spoken to Jason and to Dan...and not one time have I ever been told they were closeouts and when they were gone they were gone! And I can not find it on his site either. Maybe you are just getting more privledged information that we are......the ones that are buying and buying. But not me anymore.

Not sure if we will hear anything else out of them. I have sent 2 emails to them as they sent me the email about the min order 2 times. And both emails I told they just lost me, and probably lots of others. And that they need to get their Sh.. straight! This constantly changes policy is making me dizzy... I tried them, and there were a few that I would love to keep permenant in my line, hopefully I can find a good alternative to them from one of my other suppliers, if not I will drop them. But I refuse to be forced to spend that much just to get a few oils from them, and this sort of business practice makes me turn tale and run for the hills!!!! And yes I know there are "I told you so's" going around. And you are entitled, but unless I experience the not so good stuff out of a supplier, I am going to give them a chance and try out their stuff. Now that I have had it, I wont go back!

Thanks so much....just ordered samples from TN to check it out. I am going to order from JS on their vanilla whipped cream and that is why I wanted to know. i do not know of another place that has a decent priced whipped cream except them.

I am looking for the more rich buttery bakery type one, not the perfumy one. I heard that JS and Tenn supp both have good ones. Which one is the best bakery one? Or is there another place I should check? Thanks so much!

Hey Chris...thanks for that...I am looking for something truly unique. So maybe that is what I will do. I think I will get a few of the ones that JS carries and make some additions and see what happens.

HHHMMMM....weird! Well all I know it I cant get my leather and a few other oils anywhere else. There's was hands down the best I ever tried. So we shall see what happens.

I agree Melissa...I have had nothing but total professionalism from OOTBS and Michelle. And if I thought for one skinny minute that she was all about self promotion for herself, I would not have wasted my time or my products. I understand why anyone would be leary of a candlemaker, or any crafter being the owner of one of these sampler boxes. But if you really look at the site and at the forum, you can clearly see that it is so not about self promotion. And even on the other sites that Michelle owns, she is not at the top of the list either. She makes sure that the business' that use her services are on the top. I know this becuase I am considering using her directory and ad service. I like what she has to say on there and how she does it. I do hope that some of you will give this a try...you never know how it will help you unless you do. And they way I look at it, someone has to own this sampler box business, and candlemaker or not, Michelle is a great marketer and working hard to make sure that as many people as possible get these boxes. Besides, if you look at the list of the people who are in the boxes each month, several are repeats, so something is being done right and they are seeing a return on, or else it would just be a waste to keep doing it. JMO~

Yeah this is so dis heartening for me. They just sent out newsletter on June 24 with new oils and sales, so I do not understand how you turn around and just close. I sent an email too....I have bought some oils from them for years that I have not found as good anywhere else. I am so bummed!!!!! They could have at least told us a week ago and given us time to get orders in to stock up for a few months worth until we could find substitute oils elsewhere. But...too, ya never know what made them close. Could be something very personal and very bad. I hope not....just wished we could have had a warning.

Camay... I use the Lemon Twister from KY and so far each and every customer that has bought my tarts says that this is tha bomb and no pledge smell what so ever! I have melted it too and it is awesome. Love it!!!!! Not sure if you have tried it or not.

I have looked at both and I decided to go with OOTB because,yes, Michelle is a candle maker. But if you look at all the info there on the site about the boxes and what all comes in it. She is not at the top of the list with her banner or talking about being in each and every box..blah blah. But on Little Black Box and on Whiff and Sniff, he is at the top of the list for being in there and it is not hidden about him being her hubby and also he states on his etsy that he is in the boxes every month. I prefer the subtle way that Michelle handles her business and does not promote herself at the top above everyone else. IMO she promotes others above herself from what I have seen. And I am not in anyway friends or anything with her. Just have dealt with her from being in the box and she has kept me in the loop on when samples arrived and when boxes are going out etc... This is all just my opinion...

I got another order from the yesterday. And I must say I am so disapointed in the Lemon Lime...to me and in wax it is even more awful than lemon pledge. I was so excited to get this one base on other reviews and I will not be using it. I put it to wax right away. Because I know more than anyone that OOB can be so different that what it smells like in wax. Well not with this one at all. And the cinnamon stick to me OOB smells exactly like apple cinn. Not the bakery type smell that should be cinn stick. I am putting it to wax this morning. Not sure it will be any diff though. Key Lime Pie smells really good OOB. Actually really good. Sugared Plums smells pretty good OOB, my son said, oh you got bubblegum fragrance? Sort of smells that way, but it does smell good. Will be waxing this one too. Sugar Cookie to me is ok OOB, not a true strong cookie scent at all to me. Something is missing in the OOB smell. Will wax it and report back. Honey Almond actually smells pretty darn good OOB. I like it, and hope it smells just as good when I put it to wax. Anyway...I did send an email to Jason, who I have been dealing with there to let him know of the Lemon Lime and the results I got, as I did call before ordering to ask if it was this one or the other lime one I should order to have a more Lime Cooler type scent and he said the Lemon Lime was the one. Well its not. So I will see what he tells me. Over all though, I have had GREAT customer service from this company and from Jason in particular. He has even called me the 2 times on my orders and made sure I knew my orders were shipping and what my tracking numbers were. And when they shorted me my one bottle of powdered sugar, they sent that out right away with another 1lb bottle of oil in a scent of my chosing. So I am anxious to see what this whole hot button sale thing will be. I sent in what I would love to see. I would like to get the free sniffies in the orders like other comps do. That is how I find alot of my oils and it makes me buy......LOL like I need to buy more right now...anyway hope these OOB reviews help ya'll~

Sassy...sure I will send you some more luck...if you send some my way in the way of finding a good lime or lime cooler or something that does not smell like pledge. I have a customer who must have it and so far all I am getting is things that smell just like pledge. And so I am on the search again but I must get something quick for her. And if I ordered a sample tomorrow and got it next week, then it will be another week and I am not sure she will wait...but oh well such is life. Wonder if I could blend Key lime pie with straight lemon and get something like a lime cooler type thing???

Does anyone know who as the best Lime or limade? I want a tart one, and not one that smells like pledge. Can anyone give me some places to start maybe? Thanks so much:cheesy2:

Mini... To me the Powdered Sugar is bakery but not a strong sugar cookie to me....it is for sure a great scent, and I will carry it alone as that, but I am going to also get a donut FO and mix it. It is also to me, not a knock your socks off strong, but it is a good medium thrower I would say. HTH

I have talked to Tom over at Starville and they are taking call in orders, and he will email a scent list and prices to you if you email him from the email listed when you go to the site. They are trying very hard to accomodate everyone and what they want. I personally only use 3 of their oils, but IMO I can not find them anywhere else as good as theirs. So I am calling my order in. But still think that Starvilles CB is tha bomb!!!!!
