  1. http://www.communitycandlesupply.com/products.php?cat=Container+Lids has them
  2. I print as I go. I'd rather not waste labels on some that I may not use. Because if you print up a lot and don't use then you will have to buy more and have those already printed just sitting there when they could have been used for the ones you need.
  3. I'm sorry I misstated what she told me. This is what she said. You will never have to use a preservative in your Melt and Pour soap, or CP for that matter! Both Cold Process and Melt and Pour soaps both have a pH level that does not allow mold or bacteria growth in your soaps. How cool is that? You do still need to use a preservative in your LabColors! Here is a link to a post Anne-Marie did on Soap Queen about diluting your LabColors. She takes you through it step by step and uses Germaben preservative in this example. You can use any water soluble preservative, make sure not to use phenonip as it is oil soluble and will just float on top of your water
  4. OK so I called BB and they said I should add a perservative to M&P when I use labcolors. So I've been reading some other threads and found that some people said a perservative should be added to any thing that has water in it or anything that water will come in contact with. So that brings up my next question. So since M&P will come in contact with water should all M&P have a perservatives in it even if it has no labcolors?
  5. The ones I got from BB said to mix with 4- 8 oz of water.
  6. Being that you have to add water to labcolors, do you have to add a perservative?
  7. Thank you all for your help I've gone to these sites to check them out.

  9. Does anyone know of any good mens fragrances for soap? Has anyone ever tried Polo from Lonestar or Natures Garden? Does it smell like it is for an older man or a younger man? What about the CK or Curve from Natures Garden? If you have any other sugestions I would love to know. Oh does anyone know where I could find Polo Blue? Any help is greatly appreciated. Thank you!

  12. Thank you both. Will it hurt to still use this soap?
  13. Not sure why the picture didn't show up but if you click the link you can see a picture of the spots.
  14. I cant remember where I sas this ai was just researching one night. I thought I saved it but I guess I didn't because I can't find it now. If I come across it again I wll let you know.
  15. http://i394.photobucket.com/albums/pp24/INCHIE29/2012-06-07_15-50-04_165.jpg What would cause my soap to have these spots. I used the Creamy Shea Butter recipe from the thread Candybee started. I use a goats milk base and I added extra goat milk (2 tbls) for 32 oz of base. I forgot to thaw the goat milk out so I put the frozen in, but dont think that caused it because I have noticed the spots before but not as many. Could it be that the shea butter or other oils didn't combine well. I add the shea in with the base to melt together. The other oils are Castor Oil, and Glycerin. I didn't add any color. Any help is greatly appreciated.
  16. Has anyone every read this and is it true. I'm assuming it is true and it makes since for their pockets but not so good for consumers. Can't remember where I found this. I was just doing some research online. "Here now lies the problem with commercial soap bars and why they are so terrible for your skin. When lye and oils saponify, a natural occurance takes place. Glycerin is created...wonderful...natural...healthy ...glycerine is created. Glycerin is an extremely necessary component of healthy, elastic skin. Glycerine naturally moisturizes the skin and keeps its healthy glow and feel. Everyone (men included) want their skin to feel soft, smooth and moist. Glycerine is what provides us that wonderful feeling. It's the feeling we seek when we bath our bodies in hand and body lotion after showers and shaving. But guess what?!? The commercial soap manufactures know this also. During their manufacturing process, they extract the glycerine from the soap and replace it with detergents and chemicals. They then process the glycerine into other products like hand and body lotion, creams, balms, and other moisturizers. That's right, they remove it from their soaps just so they can sell you an additional product that contains what you should have had in the bar of soap you bathed with in the first place! Now that your out of your bath or shower, you must apply their additional product to make your skin feel soft or risk dry, tight skin usually within 30 minutes after bathing...pretty sneaky huh?!? But that's capitalism at its finest."
  17. Thanks Candybee!!! How soon after cutting should it be wrapped. Immediately I'm assuming. I usually let it set for about 2-3 hrs. then pop in freezer for about 10 min. and then remove from mold and let it set for a a few hours then cut and wrap. Is that about right?
  18. The other additives in the other batch were goats milk, oatmeal, honey, castor oil, glycerin, olive oil, and shea butter.
