  2. Does anyone know where I can get both igi 1260 wax and penerco mp gel at the same place?
  3. can anyone help? I've finally got my pie candles to look the way I want them and the only problem I'm having is that the wax overflows out of the pie tin. I use 3 44 zinc wick. They are 5 inch pies. I've tried using less embed and only fill to about 1/2 inch from the top of the crust. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
  4. Ok I'm testing my 5' pies I have 2 wick in my blueberry and 3 wicks in my pecan. In 4 hours the blueberry has not yet made it to the edges but he pecan is almost completely melted to the edges. My question is should I use the same rule as with container that it should melt 1 inch per hour. So should it take 5 hours to get a complete melt pool. I'm wondering if the 3 wick are melting to fast I use 44 zinc for both. Any help is greatly appreciated. I'm useing the heavy gel for now because that's all the supplier had. Will that make a difference in how fast the candle burns. I plan on getting the med. gel. Thanks!!

  14. ok I want to try something new and I like the look of the pie candles. I don't even know where to start. I did a few searches but didn't get everyting I needed to know. I currently make container candles and was wondering if I can use my J-50 for the crust? What is the best gel for the filling? Do I scent the gel and the fruit with the same fo? How long do I let the crust sit before filling? How can I make the crust without a mold?Where is the best place to get the molds for the fruit? Any help and suggestions will be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance:cheesy2:
  15. I used 4630 for a while and the zinc wicks worked best for me.
  16. I was just wondering if anyone else does a second pour on container candles with the j50. I use a 8 oz. jelly and 16 oz. salsa jar and I get a little shrinkage. Is this the norm? Should I even waste the time on the second pour since it's not that much.
