I ordered an Uplands back around May and got them fairly quick. Was able to talk to the owner quite a few times, too. That said if I had seen WoodFields Woods I would have ordered those. They are very much like Silvermoon Molds. Uplands are not as nice, really. In fact I have a quote from him on a custom slab but I have to buy 2 to begin with and I just don't have the dollars to do it right now. But I will in the future, they look awesome!

Did you buy a custom slab or log?? I was looking to buy a custom slab but he said I'd have to buy 2 for him to do custom and they would be about $96 + shipping. Not able to do 2 at that cost right now, but they look like fabulous molds!

has anyone tried to use a circle or oval scrap book cutter to cut out their labels? I was wanting to do ovals but I can't cut worth a darn. What program do you use to create your labels adillenal?

Just to have a nice smell instead of wax smell.

I started with a 4qrt Crock Pot and also have a 6 qrt. For small batches the 4 qrt is fine.

I bought 2 anchor 8 cup glass measuring cups at my walmart, maybe it is an area thing. Big Lots is the bomb though, but mine is just to far away. Thrift stores are just to much trouble and prices have gone outta site.

Walmart has 8 cup glass measuring cups by Anchor also.

Ok I talked with the company and they said that they don't give out usage recommendations but that the prussic acid has been removed and that many soapers buy it.

On the website it says that the prussic acid has been removed and it is blended with FCO. I am waiting to hear back from EOU about if I can use it in Soaps.

Monica I have a 16oz bottle of bitter almond EO , would that be safe to use in Soaps? I sure do not want to harm anyone , but I would think that anyone selling this would have to label it as a toxic poison. I'm gonna get rid of it if it is not safe. I got it at EOU so I'm going to call them too.

You could sub the aloe juice for some of the water, but I'm not sure about the almond extract how it would react might be fine but I'm not sure. You can buy bitter almond EO or use any of the almond FO's out there.

I did soaped at room temp and I put the FO in at light trace but wow it just set up. I will never do a water discount with this FO again, but to save the trouble I think in the future I'll just HP with it. My concern was if it gelled and the test was positive for lye, but I'm going to give it a 3 week cure and check again, if it's still positive I'm chucking it.

Mine are smooth on the inside and I just bought them a couple of months ago.

Hi all.... I was making a new recipe with a lye concentration of 35. But I thought to measure the FO by weight not by the oz shot glass and it came to about 4.5+ instead to the 3.5 that it called for. Anyway I had taken some of the batter out to do a swirl but this stuff just started to set as soon as I added the FO so I quick poured into the mold then tried to smooth the top to no avail. I still had the color part set aside so I stuck the SB inside And as soon as the FO hit that it began to set up too so I just poured it on top of the other stuff in the mold and stuck it in the oven. I am wondering if it will still make soap or if all is lost? I took it out and tested it with Phenolphthalein but it is showing lye , should I let it sit and cure ? Could it be that it will get better or not?

I like the tube. Don't like the idea of putting my dirty fingers in the pot then spreading it all over my lips!

With hot process you need to add the fo at the end. You need to know the flash point and add after it is below the flash point. You really don't need to cook it too long. Check after an hour or so with a whisk pulled through the mixture making sure to get to the bottom of the pot checking for any clumps, if there aren't any it done, otherwise check every 10 min till they are gone.

I'd tell those kids to leave immediately! I'd be right in front of them with a very stern look and if they didn't move I'd gently but firmly lead them out! Those in charge of the show should also be told and they should insist that the other vendor keep her kids in place and if she doesn't they should ask them to leave. It is completely unprofessional if the show sponsors do not control this situation. JMHO I've never heard of Mia Bella.

That was my first thought too. To address the first problem. First, it was a lesson in NOT shipping without payment. Second, When she finally responded that it was your fault for sending the stuff without payment and she was going to cancel the order. I would have said well then send me back my stuff cause you didn't want it in the first place! People like that get what they deserve. I would still file a police report in her county to have it on record, and I would email or call and tell her what I was going to do if she doesn't pay in 24 hours for example.

I'm confused about people sending the kids over to your booth? Do they look at your stuff to report back to the parents? Are they little kids or are these adult kids? Also what is Mia B?? Sorry I'm just not following this and I haven't started to sell at shows yet. Thanks
