Hi Everybody quick question for large batches........let's just say I am using a hundred pounds of wax and I add USA to my candles......does everyone just melt the wax and USA in their main melter and than remove the amount needed add their fo and color or do you melt the wax......take out what you need than add the USA FO and color? I am hoping I can just put all the wax and USA in the main melter and save whatever is unused for future orders. Sorry if this is a dumb question but I usually just add the USA to each batch of candles I make not into the main melter....hope that made sense.
TIA

I live by Candlewic.....not much to see here ....it's an old warehouse with no show room. Very blah......not a bad company though....just nothing to see....no scent samples are out...nothing!

If these are what you are looking for, they carry them at Fillmore. They are for the 3 1/2 tall by 3 3/16 wide.

Hi thanks for the info on the lids.....did you get the jars there as well? What size are they? Thanks
-
I am so sorry but I spent about $400.00 on JS oils about 2 years ago and they were so weak.....I will not go back.
-
Thank you!
-
Sorry...what company is this? Thanks!
-
Hi Brad sent you a private message. Thanks
-
I believe Clarus will send a sample on request.
Steve
Steve thanks! I can't believe no one carries their wax. What size jar are you using? Was thinking of trying this wax in a bath and body type jr three wicked.
-
Wow no one uses this wax anymore? I believe Tennesse Candles and Greenleaf use to carry it......I guess its off the market
-
anyone use Clarus Wax anymore? If so would you mind sharing which wax and how your results are? I just moved and lost all my candle notes! Ughhhh.....retesting soon.....

Hi Everyone...I am one of those on again off again candlemakers...(right now off again).I was really hoping to find a list of the posters on this site that shows your websites. I was looking try candles from others in the business that have been making candles and selling them. I really like the Slatkin BBW candles....does anyone make candles similar to these? if so can you send me your website info so I can window shop your site? Thanks so much....maybe one of these days I will start again!

Hey Just wanted to bump this.....I poured a candle 3022wax from clarus. 7% FO I believe of NG Chai Tea. The jar is a Cylinder...3 3/4" diameter...i have 3 cd 18's and it is burning nice...fmp 1/4" deep... no smoke amazing how high I had to wick up with this combo in order to get a full fmp..... downside... NO HT! LOL What gives? 3 cd 18's seem to be too much but I tried 3 cd 10, 12 and 14's and they burned too weak almost to the point they went out. Anyone have this experience with this scent or wax? TIA
-
Hi...I made a candle from Clarus Wax 3022.....or T/N 70/30 I poured at 7% FO Load of Chai Tea from NG....well within minutes the wicks are drwoning out. I three wicked a candle bowl 4" wide with HTP 93's and tried 2 CD 12s....any idea why they are drowning out so fast? When they are first lit they burn nice 20 minutes later.....they drowned out. Thanks

Hey Sharon, sorry not yet. My plan was to pour this weekend but I was attacked by a bout of the screamin' meanie flu. Hope to pour tonight or tomorrow when I get some oomph back.
Hi....Just bumping this thread....do you have any results yet with the 3033? TIA

Gotcha, go to the advanced search and in the "Search Options" box pick "Find Posts From" and choose a year ago an older or what ever time period you notice the search stops at the 8 pages. Hope that helps, makes sense and works for you. It works for me.
THANK YOU...going to try it out now!
-
How many pages do you want?
Did you click on the arrow next to the page?
Its not how many pages do I want ......I believe there is ALOT of older info that wont pull up because the board limits to 8 pages. I wasnt sure if there was a way to load more than 8 thats why I asked. The more time swe type a word liek "parasoy" it will bump older posts out....does that make sense? not being sarcastic just asking...TIA

I like the search feature. Both the general search box and the advanced feature, where I find it helpful to search just under certain forums. I kinda like that it is fairly broad and pulls up many, many posts. For instance, I am researching soy waxes right now. So I can simply put "415" or "464", etc. in the box and it brings up all posts that mention these. There is alot of repetition, which I love, because I find it very helpful to reread posts. Always something new to process! Just my opinion.
Cheers,
Steve
Speaking of the search feature...everytime I search I get 8 pages and pages only. Somteimes less if the topic isnt as well covered. How do you change the default so you get all the posts just not 8pages?

I would be surprised if you could find the exact blend they use, most likely keep it as a "trade secret". It is most likely a soy/paraffin blend. Since soy wax if much less expensive than paraffin right now, I would assume it is more soy than paraffin. Of course paraffin is easier to work with (IMO), so it may be more paraffin than soy. Not much help, sorry. Many of these blends are available (such as IGI 6006). I am just guessing here, maybe someone else might know more.
Cheers,
Steve
Hi Steve....Thanks for the input. I know no one will know an exact but thought I would ask....maybe someone duped their wax. I read somewhere that when he was on QVC he said t was mostly soy but would not elaborate on anything else in the mix. This candle has been really nice...good scent and nice burn so far.

Hi Everyone.......I got my first Slatkin and Co candle from B&BW over the Holidays...it is Fresh Balsam. This candle is really nice! Great throw much better than the Yank** Candle in my opinion. Full meltpool with no hangup and the HT is AWESOME. Looked on the bottom and saw that it is a vegi blend.....anyone have any thoughts on their wax. This defintily has to have paraffin in it too.

Just a word of warning about EAC, ask them to case pack your jars if you order. I have ordered 3 times through them and always had breakage. They just bubble wrap glass stacked together with noting between the glassware in the stacks. Customer service was great the first two times, very easy to deal with. But last time I did not contact them because they irritated me so badly by sending my order without even trying to contact me about discontinued glassware I had ordered. And never heard from them when I emailed about it (but I was a bit rude). Just my experience. Be careful if you order lids from another company, make sure they will fit the jar.
Cheers,
Steve
Thanks Steve....I will make sure I call them if/when I order. I really need to find a lid so I dont think I will be ordering untill I find a lid...LOL

Hi, been a while since I last posted.
I have a question about S&P 488 all natural container blend and the S&P482 parrafin one pour blend. Has anyone ever used them? Any info at all would be helpful. Thanks!
