Go to the www.bittercreek.com and click on BC South. Then click on the North Favorites. It the first FO listed as Angel (Designer type) - a.k.a. "Angelina", sells for $36.95 for 16 ounces.
Thanks Blest,
I found it on BCS just as you said......but says it is a BCN fragrance, but can't find it at North??

I have the Angel FO from BC and it is awesome! Smells great in everything I put it in. However, it now sells for $36/16 ounces. I just received a bottle of the same FO from Nature's Garden and am in the process of testing it.
The Angel FO from both locations is skin safe.
Hi Blessed,
I could not find the Angel from BC - looked at both North & South. Nothing there for that price and name. There is an Angel Wing and Angel Innocent.
Could you tell me which angel you r speaking of?

Hey, anyone else out there have trouble wicking CS kettle corn. The smell is awesome - love the fragrance.
Using 8oz square mason - zinc 51, small flame. Upped to a zinc 60 and flame still too small. Went to a CD 12 and 14 and both petered out.
FO is .06%
Thanks much, Vanessa

Here's a picture of the two different batches of Pink Sugar that I made recently.
(Bar on the Rt)As you can see - the top of the bar remained yellow(part with VS). Don't know why. So I did apply shiny pink and pearly white mica on top to give the look of Pink Sugar.
(Bar on the Lt.) The other bar - as you can see I swirled the bottom layer with VS and Non VS mixture - again the mixture with VS did not color Pink as I wanted, but instead remained yellow!! OH WELL!
Thanks for your advise all, Vanessa

Hmmmm...Interesting idea, NewOrleansLady!

Meredith,
Tried that with my last batch of Pink sugar - My problem - the batch yellowed instead of being pink.
I'm on to my new batch of pink sugar - 3/4 of the recipe was poured first without VS. This part of the bar is yellow now - made 2 days ago.
1/4 of the recipe (poured over the first part) has pink coloring, and VS in it. But to my dissapointment seems more orange than pink!! I put in .5ounce PS and .5ounce VS just as is recommended.
Oh well, we will see how it turns out. I will add some pink mica or something to add to the top if it stays orange!!

Thanks all for your ideas!!
From your ideas I came up with this. I am going to try using my portable space heater - you know those small units, only about 1 foot X 1 foot. I will set it in the room and aim it at the containers. I could do a good 12 containers at a time with this!! Then I can keep this in the room just to keep the room somewhat warmer and maybe this will help with continued adhesion through the following 24 hours.
What do you all think? Vanessa

Is there another way to heat up your candle jars besides using the oven??
My oven & my candle making room are not in the same room. I'm sick of going back and forth. Does anyone do anything differently to keep jars warm until they are filled up with wax??
Thanks for the replies, Vanessa

I am planning on making a batch of Pink Sugar - top layer I will put Vanilla Stabilizer in so hoping it will be a nice pink color.
My question - can I put Actual Pink Sugar decorations on top of this - for look? Do any of you do this.
Is there anything about sugar that is good for the skin?? I hear about Sugar Scrubs - but not sure what they do?
Thanks much, Vanessa

Couldn't see the pic either. Would you mind telling me Whose Sandalwood Vanilla you used? I have BCN SV and love the smell of that, but do not know how it soaps. It's great in candles.

I've soaped the Cranberry Marmalade and it is one of my FAVORITES!! It will discolor to a dark reddish brown, but my last batch I used Vanilla stabilizer for the top layer, leaving the bottom dark and ended up with a WONDERFUL smelling soap and pretty all at the same time.
Look at my recent post - soaps for 2010(in the gallery) - there is a picture of CandleScience Cranberry Marmalade!!

I order my weighty items from them because they are the closest to me.
Just to let you know their WEB site has just been improved!!
You might want to check it out.

Cranberry Marmalade is CandleScience and it's so amazing in CP soap. It will discolor to a med/dark reddish brown. I take 1/4 of the mixture and add BCN vanilla stabilizer, that is the white & red swirl top of the bar that you are looking at. I leave the bottom 3/4 mixture to be dark.
Interesting, but it smells different in CP than in candles. In CP soap you have a cranberry and cinnamon smell (wonderful). In candles it still smells good - but no cinnamon smell.
I actually like it better in CP!

Hi all,
Thanks a lot for your encouraging words!! To make the bars shiny I do what some others do, I rinse them slightly with water, rub off ash if needed, shake them off and set them aside to dry. I also like the feel of the bars after they have been rinsed off.
Thank you again! Vanessa

Here you go - a little better view!!!!

Cucumber Melon with Champagne for added sweetness!
Yuzu
Cranberry Marmalade
Sea Moss
Grapefruit Blossom
Pineapple Cilantro
Thanks for looking, Vanessa

I've used the water soluble paper from BB. Do embeds every year for Mothers day for our Preschool. Embeds of the kids pictures in soap - the moms LOVE them!!
If you use a regular injet copier - the ink will ALWAYS run. Whether you use hair spray or not!! So I went to using a lazer printer. The soap is beautiful - even after a year!!

Thanks Top, I'm thinking it's my wicking then!!

Thanks all, yep I will try more than one at a time!

Is it just my imagination or do votives tend to have less of a HT than container candles. I make both, use same % FO in both, and exact same FO, but the votives do not seem to have that great HT that the container candles do.
Anyone?

Thanks Kitn,
Just figured that out, and tried it. Worked great!

My 50/50 milk soaps I always color and depending on the fragrance used, the color is beautiful. Sometimes the fragrance will make the soap brown or tan more - with those I will leave brown on the bottom and color the top of the bar and not use the fragrance for that part.
My 100% milk soaps I leave tan/brown.

Just a quick question.
Those of you that offer Baskets at your craft sales or on your web sites - do your Baskets sell very well??
I just got back from another sale and it's the 2nd sale with hardly any(just 1) basket sales. They were appropriate for the season and everything(spring and Easter). The baskets were done up beautifully with many different variety of baskets offered.
What are your experiences?
