  1. That's good news 'cause I've been toying with the idea of trying EL waxes; do you have any experience with them? If so, what can you tell us about them? Do they really have that good of a HT?

    Thanks!

I know you were not asking me, but the 100% soy El wax is really good. I liked it better than 415 or C-3. I got a really good ht. It has been a while since I've used it, though. I mostly tested the Enchanted Lites fos in it. That being said, they have some really good fos.

  2. Yep, it's the tart blend. It's some of the same batch I purchased a while back. It made ugly, bumpy melts when used as a stand alone. Whenever I mixed it with pb, it made a very smooth and pretty melt.

As for longitivity, it meets my approval so far. I start testing in the early morning and most lasted all day and into the next, with the exception of Fruit Loops. I turn off at night when I go to bed and restart the next day.

I am in no way telling anyone to go and buy this wax, I just wanted to share in case anyone had some of this wax just sitting around wasting. I still have more testing I would like to do.

As for the candle, I only made one but it was a good one. I tested Aztec's Bday cake and it is wonderful. When I poured the candle it really make a sink hole, but I just remelted the top.

  3. I wanted to pass some info along to anyone who maybe has some candle source wax left around and has given up on it. It is working wonderfully for me mixed with ecosoya pb at a 1:1 ratio. I just hated to waste the rest of the wax I had so I started experimenting with it. The throw is really good and lasting and I have tested quite a few scents. It also produced a rocking candle in a mason jar with a zinc wick. I just thought I'd share. I just hate to waste wax.

  4. You know you're a FOHO when your supply shelves are stocked full of FOs and you still have more left over; in my kitchen, bedrooms, stockroom... and many of those are ones you no longer need or use!

Lol!! Thought I was the only one with fo all over the house. I even stuff them under my bed.

  5. I am really liking their Blueberry Cobbler. It is working really well in melts. I had the worst time finding a blueberry that would work in melts and I had all but given up, then I tried theirs. I am quite please with it. Also, their Butterscotch Brulee will run you out of the house. Man is it strong!! I just started testing their Birthday Cake and it is yummo!!

  6. These all worked well for me in melts

    Fuji Apple

    Mulberry

Creme Brulee (very close to BCN's)

    Fruit Loops

    Cinnamon Broom

    Sea Salt and Agave

    Orange Chiffon Cake(candles and melts)

Spicy Apples and Peaches(candles and melts)

    Warm Welcome

    Apple Jack and Peel

    Teakwood

I did try some that either did not work or that I just did not like. I think they are worth trying a sample pack over.

  7. Thanks guys!!!!

    Cynthia,

I started with the same technique people use when doing the peacock swirl. I just did not do the last step. I stopped right after I ran my skewer down the length of the mold.

The scent is very nice. The patchouli is probably in there, but it is not the stand out scent. It kind of reminds me of a shaving cream scent that my dad used back in the 80s. Lol. I used to love to smell it. To me, it is very unisex. hth
