  1. I just got another account - it's a veterinarian clinic of which I'm doing a collection of odor eliminator candles.

Now I need to see which label everyone likes better.

The label has a boat in it rescuing animals.  The label is their logo at the vet clinic.

Now I used the boat in the picture but also added a lot more to the label and one of the things is the dog footy prints.

In 1 label I put 2 dog foot prints on the boat and the other label has just one dog print by the scent.

My question is which label with the dog prints do you like best?   2 dog foot prints or just 1 print?

    Thanks for the advice.   Trappeur.....

You prob know this but Yankee has a scent called Apple Pumpkin that is very similar to what you're trying to create.  It does have clove in it I believe.  So maybe look for a dup of theirs?  You may at least get ideas of what other notes to add in just by reading about it.

The clove sounds really nice in it also and certainly goes with apples and pumpkins.

  3. I need 2 ounces of Moon Lake Musk and only have 1 ounce for an order for a shop....so I'm going to fudge this a bit.   What fragrance could I blend with the Moon Lake to keep it close?   I was thinking Sandlewood...but I'm not good at this so could someone help me please.

  4. Thats ok to feel like that Sarah....I guess I and we are all the same way too.   As big an animal activist that I am and rescue all homeless as my heart goes out to the innocent who can't speak for themselves I do the same thing too.   Just last month a beautiful yearling deer got stuck in an iron gate of a neighbors electronic entryway and he got stuck in between the spokes and must have been there for hours as my neighbor was out walking his dogs and came upon this beautiful poor baby deer that was pretty far gone struggling to get out of the gate and my neighbor tried to help him but the deer was foaming at the mouth and rubbed off so much hair on both sides of his body he was pretty much at deaths door so my neighbor had no choice but to put him out of his misery so he wouldn't suffer anymore than what he did.   And so what did I do?   The neighbor pulled the deer over to the side and a friend of mine came out and dressed the animal so now my freezer is full of deer meat.    I wouldn't have ever done this any other way than the way it happened, but the animal was put to good use and I have food as well as my animals....At times I feel so hipercritical being the way I am and my beliefs......So don't feel bad Sarah.

  5. Hey Forest,

Got a question for ya.    I know how you do your testings like the way TTayle suggests with no oil and you do them in cookie sheets, etc.    My question is do you determine your wick size what to go with from the way you test and then do you start all over but with oil added the next time?

I was also wondering, do you use the same size wick that you selected from your wick testing meaning from the bare wax in the beginning or do you know you have to automatically use the next size wick now that you are going to be using an oil?

(Did I make myself clear)? lol.....Boy I can confuse myself so easily....

Actually what I am asking is naked wax and wax with oil added into it use the same size wicks?

When Belinda recommends something she is always spot on like this scent Candle Nook.    She sent me some a while back and it really is wonderful!
